Darts. Two different bodies, PDC is the one with all the best players, BDO is its poor relation.
So PDC  paint their doors in beautiful tones, breathtaking in their wonder, the BDO paint theirs in battleship grey. Yawn, its still paint drying, very, very slowly.

That's your opinion.  Your entitled to it.
The fact that it sells out in every single arena from England to Germany tells you that your in the minority.

Yeah all the best players merge over to the PDC as thats where all the money and prestigious trophies are at. Many people write darts off as "boring" as it sounds it  on paper... but a good game of darts can be entertaining.

Try think of a sport where you can have no influence on your opponents game whatsoever... you can pressure them yes, but you both have three darts to throw at the same board.
Thats what makes it so great IMO

"think of a sport where you can have no influence on your opponents game"...........well how about golf?

That would cover all track and field sports.

Not saying anything about actually playing it as I've never played it but I can't think of anything worse to sit and watch on TV.

Equally, I'm into cycling and I watch a lot of that on TV, yet apart from maybe the last 10KM or so (probably less than that some days) a lot of people would find that pretty dull so it isn't exclusive to just golf.

Cycling is excellent to watch on TV. But you do need to understand the quite complex game of chess being played out on two wheels.

I went to watch it in Dubai with the son-in-law when they were living out there. Top names there and free entry.
Red hot and expensive food and beer but a decent day.

My niece plays tennis, and I said I'd buy her a new bat for her birthday. £45 it cost me, and apparently, that's not a dear one!

It's a right racket.

Bernard Briggs won Wimbledon with a racket made out of angle iron in his scrap yard in The Wizard comic in the 50s.
They dont make them like that anymore.

What always surprises me is that Robinson's Barley Water is still a big sponsor of tennis.

Surely they should switch to squash?

By a similar argument looking at FA cup winners over recent years nobody below the premier league should be entered for the FA cup. Could get it over in no time !!

I think Cilic might beat Federer in the final assuming he gets through like.

Take a word of advice BB, steer your niece away from tennis.
She may end up starting a relationship with someone in the sport, and in my experience that would be a bad move.
Tennis players are notoriously bad at relationships.

Love means nothing to them.
