Whiteman

Only friendlies admittedly but he looks a serious player to me. Could prove a great acquisition. Also a special mention for the French lad. Showed a bit of promise.

Whiteman looked a lot better second half before he was subbed playing the holding role

Middleton was very poor for me. Whiteman looks like he will have a big season for us

It's going to take a very good midfield to get the better of Whiteman and Rowe this season.

I thought Whiteman was poor tonight, still it's only pre season & he sounds like a good player, Beestin & the French lad did well. Danny Andrew looks class.

Whiteman is more of a straight line up and down player and could be a good addition.

The French lad looks neat and tidy, more in tune with Copps but a little lightweight.

Beestin looks improved but doesn't have the pace or strength to get past players.

Overall, all the players look better when Copps is on the pitch.

I thought Whiteman was poor first half but improved in the second.
Andrews looks good.
Ben Khemis looks quality & deserves a Contract, he is everything Middleton is not.
I thought Alfie B was good showed his naivity at times but is only young.
Tyler Garrett looked comfortable throughout.
Steven Taylor could be worth a shprt term Contract to cover Baudry.

Whiteman is 20, Mason is 20, Khemis 21, Middleton(transfer listed) 22 these players will have good games and not so good until they gain experience and become more consistent. But the potential is there.

So what was Whitemans shirt number, 7. 14 or 15.
Maybe people have been watching the wrong player?

Whiteman wore 7 he played right ofvthe centre three in midfield first half but our midfield was over run first half.

Second half he went to DM for a time before being substituted by Middleton.

Whiteman couldn't get in the game first half, we didn't have the ball enough for the midfield trio to be effective. After the break a different story, Whiteman was good in that deep role, he could be the one we need in there to transition our play from defence to the attack quickly. He's a big lad as well.

The shirt numbers didn't match the team sheet numbers, quite confusing.

Not if you know what they look like, I didn't find it difficult at all after the first two minutes of each half.

Anonymous first half but did improve second, but was then subbed. Early days for Whiteman, but needs to move the ball quicker. Andrews MotM.

Darren's been taking lessons from the Sammy Cheung school of team selection :) :)
