The last decade or so wouldn't have been possible without Dick playing his part with TB and JR. Thanks for everything Dick.

VERY sad news for Dick's family, friends, the town and of course Rovers and Club Doncaster. I know he had been having heart problems for a while but still a shock. Condolences to his family for their great loss. Thank you for all that you have done for our beloved club. Truly steadied the ship and provided some amazing memories for all of us.
RIP sir.

Extremely sad news to hear of the passing of Dick, our current President, but still a true Rovers fan like the rest of us. Without his contribution most of our recent memories and accomplishments of the last 10 years would not have been possible. But much more than that he was a true gent and we will be poorer for his passing.
Our thoughts are with his family at this moment in time. RIP.

Very sad news indeed. We all have an awful lot to thank him for, probably more than we'll ever realise. I had a very brief chat with him a few years ago and he was a very nice chap who seemed to be Rovers through and through. Thanks for everything Dick.

Received the news this afternoon and was completely in shock. Rest in peace, Dick. A truly lovely man who's passion for the Rovers could never be diminished.
Deepest commiserations to the Watson family.

Very sad news. As said above, I hope he realised how much he was appreciated by everyone. He did a hell of a lot for this club without really asking or needing anything in return.
He stayed out of the spotlight but when he was available publicly (meet the owners etc) he always came across as a genuinely nice guy who seemingly loved the club and only wanted what was best for the club and the town. He's a huge part of our recent history and we're more than thankful for it!
Echo all the sentiments above. Condolences to his friends and family.
RIP Dick.

Very, very sad news which I'm gutted to read. My thoughts are with Andy, Claire and the whole family as well as all who knew him at DRFC.
Dick was by all accounts a true gentleman and it is without question that he has played a major part in our great success of the last ten years. At least his final season with us was one that ended in promotion.
RIP Mr. Watson, thanks for everything.

Sad news. Without a doubt an essential part of our recent success alongside Bramall and JR, a team that I think it's fair to say gave us one of the best squads we've ever had at DRFC. His place in Rovers history won't be forgotten.

RIP Dick Watson, never met the man personally but I do realise that without him at the club we would probably never have seen some of the glorious days that we have in recent years.
I'd imagine there will be a minutes silence/applause at tommorows game in memory of Dick.
