Is that a 4-1-3-2 formation?

What's happened to Wright, Williams, garret, lawlor etc. A worrying lack of depth on the bench.

It's a friendly! Fergie said he wanted to get most players a 90 min run out tonight. Some of those who played on Saturday were less likely to feature.

Is Ogley a youth keeper? If so what happened to Louis Jones who seems to be well thought of? Ben Khemis, McSheffrey and the other youth names I recognise.

There was a lad called Kev Ogley who used to be a goalie in the Donny Sunday League.
He was groundsman at Belle Vue for two or three seasons in Cusacks time. I wonder if he's related.

Perhaps they will play on Saturday.. DF did say in the DFP that he would have youngsters on the bench..??

Anyway, why is that a concern for a practice match?

Better in the second half than the first. Alcock got caught out a number of times. But overall not totally outclassed but like my school reports, could do better

Agree with that, although to add a bit of match context, we made 1 sub, they made 8 or 9 in the second half, so were much fresher... the fact that we managed to keep up with them and better them quite often for large portions of the second half was a big positive for me.

I'm a bit disappointed with the manner of the defeat though...the 2 goals we gave away were shocking.

Ignore the score, we did ok against opposition that had a lot more quality than us, I enjoyed the game and it was an excellent workout

Not too disappointed. Some good play, some iffy moments. Thought we were getting on top until we cocked up when everyone stopped for offside.

There's more in the tank from Marquis, Copps and Rowe. Thought Whiteman played very well in all areas of the pitch. Mandeville looks a little stronger and a bit fitter.

Alcock and Blair need to step up a bit.

A nice little cameo from Ben Khemis again, if he signs he will make us a few quid I reckon

Danny Andrew's left foot is an absolute wand!! Great delivery for the goal. Can see him scoring a few free kicks too.

Getting a bit concerned with Marquis....same frustrated figure tonight as Derby and the end of last season, hope he gets back to himself soon.

Mandeville is going to have a great season if he stays fit I think.

I thought Blair was ok. Whiteman can't play on the right hand side of a diamond as much as Mason is no defensive midfielder. Whiteman was much better when he moved centrally. Marquis was poor and young Dino looked near and tidy again when he came on.

Marquis was up against Lees though to be fair. Just about the best centre half outside the Prem.

Marquis and Mandy looked to have a decent partnership. I think this will be our first choice

I really hope we dont see butler at centre back as our solution to the injury problems. other than that I was happy with what I saw but we still need at least two centre backs for us to be competative!!!!!!!

Alcock played as a central defender and it was obvious that is not his best position, got caught out more than enough to realise that we NEED another CB. Maderville was brilliant and he will keep Williams out of the side on this display .

As in the Derby game we were much better second half, given the runaround first half. Good workout but certainly room for improvement, right back & centre half most concerning for me.

No big deal to lose to them, they nearly made the PL last season.

2 schoolyard goals beat us and we suffer for a lack of pace in the back line. How many times do we have to say it?
