This was the same format last season..

It is actually one of the things I quite like about it - gets a bonus point which may make the difference..

The competition is no more a joke because of this, than it might already be anyway..

At one point, MLS had a variant of this. A silver goal extra time period and then a shootout if there was no draw - but the type of shootout they have in hockey rather than what we think of. In league fixtures.

Having seen it on the highlights there is no way he could be blamed.

Thinking about the three saves in the shootout, i wonder how many times a keeper has actually saved three out of five.
