I putbottom half because there's some rubbish teams in this league. Gillingham and Plymouth being 2

Bottom half. We won't go down.

If we finish bottom half would people be happy with that, as long as we stay up

I am not persuaded as yet he can deviate far from his recent managerial average in League One of a point a game. So it would be absolutely borderline staying up or occupying final relegation spot.

Not really. Don't we have a top half budget?
I'd be unhappy with anything less than mid table.
We are better than a relegation fight, or we've been led to believe we are.

I agree, we should be mid table this year, and looking to push on next year

Thought the aim was mid table this season to consolidate and then to push on from there.

Think these "aims" all get brushed under the carpet to be honest.

Ferguson appointed in October 2015 and aim then was to get into play offs: we got relegated.

After setting title as our goal following admirable early promotion: we went on truly disastrous run and ended up in last promotion spot.

Propaganda really and never gets mentioned again by the hierarchy. Bit like JR actually.

Too many home games to be ashamed of right now . DF is saying all the right things but it's not having any effect on scoring . Give me a shite 1-0 or nervous 4-3 but to loose a goal every time we score is just pathetic and to miss open goals is just madning .

The timescales get altered every time something goes wrong.

We are now on a 5 year plan to get into the Championship. If we aren't there in five years, there;ll be another aim.

The people running the club post JR haven't even proven that they can make it competitive in League 1 yet.

Championship ambitions come across as pie in the sky at this point in time.

As for the poll, I like how top half, mid table and bottom half are all separate options.

Before a ball was kicked I would have been in the mid-table to top half camp. Now I'm firmly bottom half, although I do think there are at least four teams worse than us.

Personally I think Fergie is pretty safe until Christmas, but if we're in the bottom six then his position could be vulnerable.

A few games ago DF's supporters, after there were calls for him to go, were saying it is too early for that, lets see where we are after 10 games.
I had a look last night and we are one point out of the bottom four with nine points from ten games, less than his points average in L1 in recent times.

I HOPE we can stay up but in reality i am doubting that we can.

Don't worry, we'll win a game at some point then we'll all be wrong again.

And this is the thing.

Ferguson has been here for two years now, and the pattern is the same.

Where's the evidence that it will change?

Look at the polls people keep starting on here,
Read the comments on here, most people after last night have said we played well as we have the last three games

It's only the same handful of people saying he should go, the same people as in the summer funnily enough

On here you get a couple of hundred people out of around 6000 home fans, how could you possibly know it's "a very small minority"?

Strange, I heard quite a number of people saying he should go last night after the game.  Maybe they don't all participate on this forum?  I agree though, that on here it does seem to be the same people who want him gone - but it's not on here that counts.

What else can anyone say , we all watch games not knowing what to expect . The promise of a new season and new players left everyone expecting us to be competitive and give good account of ourselves this season , yet it’s as though we’ve carried the latter part of last season over to this where lost games we didn’t expect to . DF has IMO failed to address basic errors that keep cropping up in the defence and it’s noticable that teams are exploiting our inadequacies , particularly if we score. It’s no coincidence that we concede almost within minutes each time .  Up front were playing with last seasons pairing and it’s not good enough at this level . DF is developing younger players at the expense of experience and this also shows . Copps & Butler  play well because of that experience . We have few players who have played at this level and that takes time to build up confidence and were paying the price right now. DF has failed to appreciate those  failings by not signing players who have played st a higher level .IMO He either changes players attitudes and teaches them how to secure results or he can except the flack from us and possibly the sack from him paymasters .
