On here you get a couple of hundred people out of around 6000 home fans, how could you possibly know it's "a very small minority"?

Taking a few hundred people is usually how you take a sample though. Its like electoral polls, they ask a few hundred/thousand to get an idea. If 10% of fans in here want him gone then it's a fair assumption to say around 10% of our fan base do as well.

Seriously though, is it 10% or not ?

Perhaps if there was a poll, want him gone or want him to stay, then maybe that would give a clearer indication.

There was one the other day asking if he was good enough to manage in league one anymore  11% said no he wasn't

10% was just a random number. Not sure the true figure.

It's not that simple though. Those samples are selected in an unbiased way which tries to best represent the total population.

I highly doubt that the users of this forum reflect the overall fanbase in the same way. The same poll run both on here and on the Facebook group for example would almost certainly return different result.

Our poll matters not , but without a sounding of a sort it would be foolish to think all is well otherwise. If DF reads only 10% of these he will learn that it’s the supporters who pay for him to F*** it up Or not too in this case . DF will leave eventually and some other so called manager will to bring it all together .But until then we’re stuck with this his self styled and patronised  approach to management who just can’t see that his team is deficient of ideas and ability.
Time I do think time is running out for DF so it’s up to the Board to speak to him and judge if he is what they want and if so , give him the funds to stop this rot and get new faces in ASAP .

Presumably these funds will go towards the purchase of a Tardis, to enable DF to travel to January 2018 and obtain some players?

Anyone out of contract at the minute is probably out of contract for a reason.

This poll indicates that more than half the vote is thinking we will be bottom half or relegated.
Not much confidence in the manager there then, especially when we were expecting at least a mid table finish to build on for a push to the Championship.

I don’t believe the club ever set out to be anything But mid table. So playoffs and promotion was never on the cards for this season. We will have a hard season.

I really struggle to understand how it has got to the stage that we are all setting our sights so low?

We have been in the Championship as many years over the last decade as we have been out of it and we won the damn league we are now in only a few seasons ago.

Good god even the last full season that Dickov was in charge we finished mid-table and only eight points off the play offs.

We are a stable club with a “competitive” budget yet we are sniffing around lower reaches of League One rather than pushing for play offs. We were only out of this league for one season, not ten!

So now, instead of "see where we are after ten games" we are prepared to wait until January?

I'vet thought from the end of last season that it needs to be reviewed at Xmas,  if it's looking like a relegation battle then, the board have a decision to make

Yes , we’ll all the signs are there for a promotion bid , injures, bad home form , recurring mistakes and skin banana finders working overtime . Yes the future looks set up to give someone a good hiding .  :scarf:

We won every single game in January last season, we also got 10 points from 15 in march.

When some people who may have been giving 10 games, was that in the knowledge that at least 3 of our best players were out with long term injuries. Young players needing time to adjust. A striker who's suffered a loss of form?

Margins are sometimes fine and some things are out of anyone's control so, there is mitigation why January is not unreasonable to make a better judgment.

He stays. End of!

Don't squash the myth, Dickos. Fans will keep finding a way to write off our excellent promotion last season so long as it serves the "Fergie out" agenda.

I know, one poor month out of 9 excellent ones and only rovers fans would bang on about that one month
