If the board want us in the Championship we need top League One or Championship quality players. How does Max Watters from 8th tier football fit that bill?
Signing Houghton or Copps is just same-old and another year in the middle of the table. Even though I hope they do get signed up.
A really good striker would be the best news, but I wouldn't be surprised if Ferguson went to another club because the board won't give him a big enough budget. Especially if the Belles join Club Doncaster and cut the Rovers budget.

Plenty of good players have played non-league football. We're even taking one to the World Cup!

I remember a lad who was spotted playing at amateur level for Pegler's works team in Donny and was picked up by one of our local rivals Scunthorpe.  Geoff Twentyman, (Liverpool Head Scout), had gone to Scunny to take a look at this little forward Scunny had who looked rather useful and, in spite of being considered to be too short for his home town club, recommended to Bill that he looked be a fair prospect for Liverpool FC....
 
The rest, of course, is history.
 
You don't have to have come through a top flight clubs academy to be a good footballer.   If Max proves to be even as quarter as good as KK, he'll do for me.

Based on an Instagram posting I saw last night cameras were being set up at the Keepmoat.

My guess is that it is something to do with sponsorship. The  "boost" will be that there will be some more money in the kitty as a result.
