Big Day Out or Chance of Progress?
« on January 28, 2019, 04:14:40 pm by swintonrover »
Let's try and settle this in a somewhat orderly fashion;

Would you rather have a day out at Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge or the Etihad, knowing that realistically we'll get beat?
Or would you rather us draw someone beatable (e.g. Wimbledon at home) and be only one game from Wembley?

I’m split 50/50 on those options. As long it’s not a damp squib like Swansea or Bristol away.

I’m in the “anyone at home” camp..

We were all initially disappointed to draw Oldham, but that didn’t work out too badly afterall..

Big chance this time. More money in the kitty prize fund then a big club after that.

Wimbledon or similar would be ok for potential money in the pot , then on to the big 1!!! 😀

Fifth-round draw numbers
1 Swansea City
2 AFC Wimbledon
3 Shrewsbury Town or Wolverhampton Wanderers
4 Millwall
5 Brighton & Hove Albion or West Bromwich Albion
6 Bristol City
7 Derby County
8 Doncaster Rovers
9 Chelsea
10 Watford
11 Middlesbrough or Newport County
12 Manchester City
13 Barnet or Brentford
14 Portsmouth or Queens Park Rangers
15 Manchester United
16 Crystal Palace

Any of those at home. It a 50% chance. Let’s hope the draw gods are with us. Us and Wimbledon are the lowest ranked teams that are through although that could change.

If we are away then drawing South or London team is the biggest %.

I think we would more likely be on TV if we got a big club at home, not away.

Home please.!

Home tie, let's create some more history and get to the semis.
Play offs/could wait till next season for me.
A trip to the semis could potentially add another 2k on regular match day attendances, it's a golden chance to build our fan base up again.

Agree even Watford a trek.

As I said on another thread, to avoid an away game we should stand up and click our heels together, like on the Halifax Bank advert, and repeat “ there’s no place like home”.

Winnable home game for me.
Don’t want one of the Mancs away.

would love to see rovers at old Trafford or Stamford bridge as lets be honest we are never going to win it so when we go out lets do it in style and have a good day out or weekend away
