Your continued lauding of Ferguson is admirable but misplaced in my opinion.

I’ve never been a critic of our managers but I’m glad he’s gone and we’ve got GM.

I agree, McCann is doing a great job and I’m glad we have him.
My only gripe is the people who moaned when we appointed Ferguson could never bring themselves to give credit and still bring him up at every opportunity to slag him off.

I was giving him credit for that but the relegation was down to him and sticking with a system that clearly wasn't working.

You’ve never given him credit for taking us from the bottom of the table to the top 10 nor for the easiest promotion we’ve ever achieved.

Anyhow it’s irrelevent we had these discussions 2 years ago, we’re never going to agree.

I am not sure where this promotion point comes from either. God knows what metric is being used but in 2016/17 we went up with a buffer of 8 points from the first play off place.

In 2003/4 we had (as Champions) a buffer of 11 points and in 1983/84 (as runners up) we had a buffer of 10 points. 

So depending on whatever fantastical metric has been used, this looks again like more made up stuff.
