Are we never happy? John misses a fair few, and his howler yesterday is probably top of the tree, but how many points would we have without his goals? I cannot remember a more prolific centre forward for years. I reckon he’ll end up with 25 goals in L1 come May, then let’s see how many clubs come knocking at our door.

Marquis has a problem he’s selfish and can’t take his chances ! and yet  won’t help others do , when he can’t .

Assists is a poor stat anyway - Marquis can tee them up perfectly but if the person it’s tee’d up for doesn’t do his job and finish it, it isn’t an assist - why should that reflect on Marquis?

I personally don’t think out and out strikers should consider assists, they are more effective when selfish, and focused on doing their job...

here's a thought - if Marquis didn't miss the sitters he would be getting 30+ a season and he wouldn't be with us anymore. It's actually a blessing he misses a few as it keeps the championship clubs at bay
