Tottenham got a penalty today when they had a mere 5 players offside from a free kick at the time I thought it was 6.  Southampton denied 2 clear penalties against Manure and then he gives Manure one.

It's blatant cheating. That linesman had his flag up in 4 or 5 questionable times during the game and was getting stick from McCann. He's clearly just denied a goal for no other reason.

Shocking decision. The ref was in a better position, gave the goal and then changed his mind when the linesman flagged late.

Marquis’ first disallowed goal - it looked like he timed his run perfectly. Second disallowed goal - absolute joke. May was offside but if we’re applying the rule highlighted after the Palace game... what the f&ck? Two points stolen.

There is also nothing that they could have disallowed the goal for other wise. I've played it through 10 or 11 times.

Marquis' shot definitely hit another player on its way into the net didn't it? If so, was that player offside? Was it even a Rovers player?

Either way, the linesman has put his flag up far too late. I've never seen us have so many offsides in a game, not since the Lewis Guy days anyway, so it's all rather perplexing. If only Whiteman's effort had gone in instead of hitting the bar.

Understatement. Two good goals and a good shout for a penalty not given. The ref generally was not bad but he got three big calls wrong, two of them due to bent linesmen.
