QED

Maybe someone with "nous" could download the image and post it again the right way up please

Golden Goals work exactly the same but this was clearly NOT one as you have hopefully read - and its a bit of history we should be "embracing"

Talking of Stoke...had a chat with Franny Tierney today. Made a great day even more special.

I remember a few years back, when Charlton were freshly dropped into this division, they got surprisingly beat by Swindon in the semis. So they are far from perfect in their record at this stage. This was a Swindon side that contained Charlie Austin but one which lost the final to Millwall, I believe.

Last time in play offs we conceded one goal in three games and that was in 88 minute when we were already 5-0 up in the home leg at Keepmoat.

Remember our play-off record is better than Charlton's, and they lost in the play-offs last year, that will haunt them.

I made this and then did not like it as much as my current one. That has lasted me 11000+ posts so I stuck with it

You are of course correct Wolfie, but then the Promotion Goal falls in the category of Golden Goal (Venn diagrams ;) ). And for me, that sounds so much more classy. None of which matters more than the absolute elation at the moment it went in following the stress of when they were threatening to score.

I still remember a header from them in the first half of extra time (I think) which missed Warringtons Right hand post by a narrow margin - and would have won it - but I think was offside . I think it would have been given though by the Ref one Andre Marriner

A lot of maybes there I suppose - but for the record I DO think Golden Goal sounds better  :scarf:

Win tonight and we can head to a final, where winning would give us three play-off victories.

The playoffs specialist not Portsmouth and Leeds come Rovers let’s prove we are more than underdogs. Scunthorpe away,in league cup, performance will light up Charlton's ground and Sky TV.
