Last seasons final between Rotherham and Shrewsbury only 26.000
That is very poor indeed.
How many do you think we would take this time? ( If )   :clapping:
I do think we would get an awful lot come out of the woodwork again. A bit less than last time but still around 20.000.

Didn't know that! How many did Rotherham take?

We officially took 26000 last time, although you could knock off around 500 as they were Leeds that were huddled behind the goals

24k including the Leeds fans, google the pictures to see they had around 1500/2k in the top tier. JR offered Leeds 12k out of the 36k.
Sorry, but nowhere near 1500.
Anyway doesn't matter does it

Grouped on two tiers here surrounded by stewards. Looks like 1.5k+ to me.

Charlton have sold out the away end, 3,700, which justifies the decision to give them the extra tickets!

They've also now flogged roughly 21k for the game at The Valley and that's on course for a sell-out in the home ends so it should be a cracking atmosphere.

Admirable, admirable effort from their fans!
Aye good decision in giving them an added advantage in fighting for the millions on offer for promotion, just for the pennies the club will get in return in selling a few extra tickets.

I was surprised, I only recalled a few hundred. Leeds and their desperate photoshopping.

Last time I checked football was won on the pitch and not in the stands

Who cares.. I’m still drinking my work brews from my “ceefax” mug showing the score from that game..

That’s all that mattered then, and what happens on the pitch is all that matters on Sunday too..

Not sure the flood facilities at Wembley would have handled any more grief.

Makes a change for someone to shoot the club down and ask questions later? Not!

Read the EFL play off rules then think again!

I can honestly not be bothered to read the pile of tripe the clueless ideots at the efl spout (I have no respect for them as a governing body you may have guessed)

Does it genuinely say we have to give up   over a 1/4 not far off 1/3 of our stadium to away fans in the playoffs? I think someone needs to have a word with Sunderland then.....

The clueless idiots at the EFL?

Let me just point out that they're not a governing body.

That's fair enough. Notable that you did not offer a view on my other comment about them lol

Yes but note the latest article from dfp with grant and copps asking the fat lazy Donny public to get of their arses and show their support for the team at full price for once (I added the last bit)

I agree with what they say as well.

Maybe the underdog comments and being on sky has put people off, but what needs to be done to get people to support a team that's done so well this season? It's not exactly going to encourage new players to sign in the future

So for those ticket-watching what is the current synopsis? How many we definitely sold (including Charlton) and what we expecting?

Memory, like a fine wine, only improves over time. Or at least you remember less how bad it was before.

1,550 remaining in home ends which (to my guess) would equate to 7,500+ sold, then Charlton’s lot on top of 3,700 - so 11,200 as a minimum.

South Stand has 14 remaining.
My maths says that’s 12.200 sold?  Am i wrong? Will we not have over 10.000 home tickets to sell based on a capacity of around 14.000?

I'm suspecting they released some more in the SS, the figures on the site change a lot. None appearing to be sold since about 2.30 when I looked. Now it's exactly 1600 left (plus a possible W31/32/33) which I make as 7741 sold. Add the Charlton allocation and that's so far a crowd of 11241. So we should get about 12000 on the day?

At Charlton we've sold about 870.

Looking at the seating plan I would say over 80% of the remaining seats are row E and below same as the away blocks at Charlton. So people may find it difficult to pay for low level seating. In the South stand it makes no difference as it’s non reserved seating.

Also Charlton have opened another block.

A few hundred seats higher up at Charlton as the 4th block was made available earlier today.

Which is bizarre given we got (or declared) 12794 for the Game v Coventry .... I am still convinced that was no more than 11500

Also got 14010 v Palace as well. OK Tickets were cheaper for that but why would we not be getting 13500 for this one ?

By my reckoning there is 1223 tickets left for sale in the home sections as of 9-20 am with 330 approx sold between the close of the sales office last might.
With a walk up facility on the day to purchase from the ticket office I expect the two sections in the west stand to have to be opened, and an initial sell out or very near of the original tickets for sale, I hope so anyway.
