https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2019/august/ticket-refund-information-wanderers-v-doncaster-rovers/

"Supporters who have already purchased tickets for Tuesday night’s postponed Sky Bet League One game against Doncaster Rovers at the University of Bolton Stadium are advised that their tickets will be valid when the game has been rearranged."

An absolute farce if this game is rearranged.

I think they are chancing it with that statement.
I still have a feeling though that it might be the choice of outcome for the EFL.

Agreed, it seems Bolton have already decided it will be rearranged

The whole thing is a farce altogether. I do hope the EFL stick to there guns with this one and award us the three points and fine or Dock Bolton points.

It's simply not on that the club can decide when they want to play their fixtures.

Sadly I'm not convinced the EFL will deal with it as they should.

if the EFL do anything other than award Rovers the points here, they are saying that any club can be the sole arbiters of deciding to call off a game at limited notice without notifying anyone beforehand, and f**k the consequences - there's no way they can allow that to happen and maintain any sort of integrity

Bolton could have put together a scratch team of fat friends of their manager, mancunian drug runners, programme sellers or any other spare pie-muching f**ktards who were to hand, and done the decent thing and taken the hiding that their shit-show of a club deserved

anything other than three points to Rovers will be an absolute disgrace, an insult to all football fans and everyone involved in the administration of properly run clubs up and down the country; but then, this is the EFL we're talking about, so keep a date in your diary free for when bolton decide they can be arsed to turn up...

I will say it again, what special dispensation did we get in the year we dropped into non league, we had to play youngsters, paying them a fiver ( or something equally low) a game.
We are, and were, every bit as important as them!

I realise this is not the EFL's decision, but they have to act and come down hard on them, you can't just decide when you want to play.

You have to feel for the fans of Bolton, but the EFL can show no mercy in this.

As a side note, did any body hear the Talk Sport interview with the Bury chairman, the Bury captain phoned in at the same time - to call him a liar!!! great listen, but it did make my heart sink, as it did feel a little bit like the Richardson era

Where did you get this from can't see it anywhere

Why do you have to question everything and suggest people are making things up when it is now on every site.

This is beyond a joke. Either let / make Bury and Bolton play or kick them out of the league.

As Robert Baratheon said, "Get on with the damn fixture, before I p*** myself"

Didn’t Boro get a points deduction a few years ago for calling off a game? These tools should have the same punishment as well.

Don’t panic everyone. Bolton and Bury off so next away game is Ipswich. So we can get our away day football fix we can all be thankful that Ipswich have not gone with daft ticket prices... only £27 for an adult!

Not a fan of Leeds by any stretch but they were punished far worse than Bolton have been.

So has it officially been called by the EFL yet?

Could we just turn up and claim the win if it is n’t officially called off?

Nothing official other than the EFL saying Bolton will not fulfil the fixture.

We better not fold on this and roll over and have our belts tickled...I wouldn't play the game if they try and make us get a new date...

Any real news. From the rovers themselves.
as usual our club I'd the last to broadcast the news

You really are an odious little man! Why have a pop at our club over this issue! You really would be better just walking away from this club. Has anything positive ever worked it’s way out of your keyboard?

A coherent sentence?

If the EFL try to rearrange instead of awarding Rovers the match, the very first thing that Rovers should do is ask the EFL what would happen if we called off the rearranged match with less than 24 hours warning to anybody and see what answer they get.

We could replay it with them having a three goal deficit from the start, and them fielding the 18 players named for their last match.

As others have said if it's rearranged we need to write to EFL asking why in this case the laws of the game have been disregarded and should ask what they would do if we refuse to replay.

Can't believe they haven't just come out and said what the outcome is because the longer it goes on the more i feel like we will have a replay

they still have last seasons punishment hanging over them for the brentford game when they did not play , so they have to treat this the same and award us the game

A failure to punish shows that it's an acceptable ace, they surely wont let that happen?

It probably will mean we have to play at some point though.  It would be just our luck to lose it against a strong team, afterall we are the team who went down on goal difference after the Charlton farce.

They could do that last season because it made no difference to the table..bet things would have been different if it had
