If Bolton are worried about to much football for their 18/19 year olds, did they similarly worry about 18/19 playing in the 1st team in previous seasons, I suspect not!

COYR

I mean 18-19 year olds go to war and these lads cant play football????

what's more if their girlfriends made "demands" i am sure they would rise to the ocassion

Any real news. From the rovers themselves.
as usual our club I'd the last to broadcast the news

3 pages before anyone’s had a dig at the Rovers. Things are looking up...

As for Bolton, they are completely taking the piss. Indefensible & unjustified.

That’s a really unnecessary pop at our club. Bolton are in a mess and called it off without permission. Our club will get the facts and clarify with the EFL before releasing a statement

I can’t post a link but under EFL rules I am fairly sure a club cannot postpone a fixture unilaterally, it then counts as misconduct..

To be fair the 2 were created seconds apart. They just need merging, it's not the end of the world.

I don't see it at a pop at the club. I see it as everyone is guessing. Any real news from the club

EFL Rules:

31 Penalty for Non-Fulfilment of Fixture Obligations

31.1 Any Club failing to fulfil its fixture obligations in respect of any match under the jurisdiction of The League on the appointed date or dates or causing The League to suspend any fixture shall be deemed guilty of misconduct, unless the circumstances giving rise to such failure are outside the control of the Club and could not have been reasonably foreseen or reasonably anticipated and remedied prior to the match. Every Club shall carry out regular and appropriate maintenance and checks to ensure that its safety certificate is not suspended or withdrawn.

31.2 The Club failing to fulfil its fixture or causing The League to suspend such fixture shall be liable to pay compensation for any expenses actually incurred by the opposing Club as a direct result of the failure or suspension. The amount of compensation will be at the discretion of the Board who will consider every such case on its merits. The Board may refer the amount of compensation to be paid to the Disciplinary Commission dealing with the misconduct by the Club failing to fulfil its fixture or causing The League to suspend the same

According to the report on the BBC website Rovers have yet to hear anything official and are preparing for the game 'until they are told otherwise'.

No mention of points being awarded there. It's just talking about money, which Bolton haven't got any of.

Nothing in there for us.

I am fairly sure in the past where a club has failed to fulfil a fixture the opponents are awarded a win at a suitable score..

Young professionals can’t do their job? I know I’d get sacked.

Don't think it's owt to do with the players. The management have been angling for this since they got hammered on Saturday.

Completely disrespectful the manner this has been done. I think we'd all have a bit of empathy if they had gone about this the right way.

But right now it feels like whoever is in charge at Bolton still thinks they're Billy big b*llocks, and can just do what they want. They have professional obligations and if they can't fulfill them with just 24 hours notice we should get all the points and handful of goals.

I think their statement clearly implies they expect further EFL sanctions.

They are, it seems and from their perspective, putting player welfare ahead of any other matters..

I can understand that, annoying as it is about tomorrow..

I still think we will be awarded the points.

You really are an odious little man! Why have a pop at our club over this issue! You really would be better just walking away from this club. Has anything positive ever worked it’s way out of your keyboard?

It’s their u23 squad so I don’t see where they can justify welfare they aren’t playing their youth squad.
