Bramall & Watson families

Had JR not got these two gentlemen to come onboard all those years ago, I doubt very much we’d have a club to support now in 2019/20 - JR couldn’t have continued as he didn’t have the resources - TB himself not a football supporter believes that a town like Donny deserves a football team for us all to follow and for that we all should be thankful for their continued investment. I firmly of the belief that we’re on the cusp of something here we’ve got a fantastic manager who is respected throughout all the leagues and with a new number 9 on the verge of arriving - we could be in for a truly memorable season - just look across the Pennines and it makes you think how the hell can the moaners and groaners on here still bleat we’re not going out chucking money around like there’s no tomorrow.
You don’t know how lucky you are!!

Spot on

I was lucky enough to meet Dick Watson and his family a few years ago. Genuine Rovers fans through & through which is why I get pissed off when people question their desire for the Rovers to do well. I also met JR on a couple of occasions and thought he was brilliant. Loved to chat about the old days with Alick but also loved to chat about the future. With these and TB we’ve been very fortunate. Probably more than we realise.

I absolutely agree 100%

When clubs are going bust through bad management at board level and we are economically sound it gets up my bugle when idiots start bleating about the lack of investment

Be thankful that the owners care enough about the club not to buy and buy and buy

Let’s be honest they can’t be in it for the money

I for one feel thankful that we have proper business men running the club

Long may it last

We were lucky that when Dick passed away, Andy was prepared to pick up the mantle his father had carried for the club. Lose the Watson family and we would rely solely on Terry Bramall, and should Terry walk away I dread to think how we would struggle.

Indeed we are fortunate to have Mr Bramall plus Andy Watson at the helm of our club - not forgetting Gavin who oversees a steady ship is run for the benefit of us, the fans

yeah but, but - but - don't forget that DM's not great at interviews, and in some of the wins in the run to the brilliant, climactic play-off denouement last season, the quality of performance wasn't really up to scratch - you'd be a fool, and a damned fool at that, I'd hazard - not to rein in your enthusiasm; bloody rubbish, rovers....

Excuse me but you can't go calling people an idiot just cos they don't see things the way you do, we all have our own view on the club, I think we are lucky to have a club and it was all started by JR but the current board have don't good for us but call people idiots it 3 steps to far

Can we invent an emoticon specifically for sarcasm?

Posters come on here and are often highly critical, if not the norm. A rare positive post and you, Herman, have to jump down Branton's throat. Why can't you just keep your opinions to yourself. Do you not support the club or what would you change? Do you really think we would be better off without this board and if so who would own the club and plug the financial deficit, YOU? Personally I don't give a crap what DM sounds like. He can have an effeminate squeaky voice for all I care as long as we are in the top 6.

Mrs Watson still attends home games and is very enthusiastic , it's great to see her smiling face when we score.

Was Herman’s tongue-in-cheek post too subtle for you, Michael?  I think you’ll find he was joking and having a little pop at the doom-mongers.

Terry Bramall admits to being a late convert to football and I believe that what persuades him to continue to subsidise us is the Club Doncaster ethic and their work in the local community which had provided him with the perfect vehicle to ‘ put something back ‘ as he describes it.

He's not the novice that people make him out to be. I once heard him talking about his early working days with Dick when they were fresh out of university and attending Wolves games together. He's more of a fan than we would realise.

But more to the point, he puts his hand in his pocket, and then drives the club forward with his desire for this club to be as successful as possible, on and off the pitch.

And he stays out of the limelight - which should show it's not all about him and it is in fact the club/club doncaster/giving something back to the town that is what keeps him going.

Spend their own hard earned cash to fund your own entertainment? I can see why they might but I can't see why they should.
