No, not ever, not now or in the distant future!! The badge is fine and is recognisable throughout the football league with the mighty Doncaster Rovers fc! Fact!

If true, could it have anything to do with selling more shirts, jackets, shorts etc.

Agreed, a lot of us will look silly that have a tattoo of the badge 😀

The badge is great. And, as stated above, widely recognised as being the Mighty Mighty Donny. It doesn’t need changing.

If they try to change it I say we riot!

It's a Viking. What other club has a f**king Viking as a badge?

Leave it.

Plus I'd like to follow in my father's foot prints and get it tattoo'd on me at some point.

I've got the viking on my chest, London 1999. Don't change our badge please. It goes deeper than my tattoo, its on my heart.

It’ll be a “Club Doncaster” badge. Quickly followed by the “Club Doncaster Sports Arena” 😂 😂

Good thing he didn't say "peace in our time" eh or then we really know it was happening.

I noticed in the west stand toilets yesterday a piece of paper that said welcome to the Club Doncaster Stadium...

Never liked the badge to be honest.  Keep the viking and the basic design certainly, but a stylised line drawing like the depiction of Derby County's Ram would be a great improvement IMO.

Some people don’t realise the debt we owe the late Andy Liney who patented the current club badge logo in the dark days of Richardson - he bought it to on behalf of the supporters club to protect it getting into Richardson’s hands - this led to a massive fall out between the Supporters club and JR when he acquired the club - however when John Ryan had calmed down he realised that Andy had bought the Viking logo with the best of intentions & the rights were then I believe donated back to the club -
So I believe that we shouldn’t alter the logo as it’s had a chequered history of ownership that was fought for by late supporters and shouldn’t be meddled with as it would affect Andy’s contribution to the club

Really well put-and the ridiculous thundercats logo was a direct result of the petulance. For some reason I thought it was Wetzel who took his bat and ball in but I could be wrong?

This is the 140th Anniversary of the club ,so is this a rumour or taste testing exercise to gage opinion.

I was at the meeting when JR called Andy Liney a fifth columnist because of his perceived interference with this logo - when in actual fact Andy had done everybody a massive favour in protecting the badge for us all to enjoy today

The only thing I would change would be the shield bit. Put the castle from the town crest in it rather than just the rose.

I thought that we weren't allowed to use the town or was it corporation coat of arms?

Why aren't we?? Other teams do. The Dons do.
