Copps was our best player.
Daniels has done a good job since he came on board. Does have a mistake in him though.
I recall West Brom fans saying that one of the big flaws of Moore’s reign there was the insistence on playing it out from the back with limited players. When it works it’s great - the first goal against Bristol Rovers being a prime example of how it can pull teams out of position - but there’s room for pragmatism. Seems to be a bit of a blind spot with DM right now.
Yes, Daniels hasn't done much wrong up to now and even started today in confident fashion. Only when he played a part in one of our early disasters that he got a rollocking from Whiteman which seemed to hit his confidence but he was hung out to dry by Dieng pass, and just like a pantomimes audience shouting “He's behind you" it was too late and the deed was done.Way too early to be on his back and let's be fair, Joe Wright isn't devoid of the odd calamity either. It happens in football!DM isn't going to change our style and said as much in his post match interview, we will continue to pkay it out from the back more often than not.
