But ballacks to that. Let's moan about not signing players.

We looked very solid. Second half we played well and could have been a lot more

Billy, FFS!
You really don’t want positivity on here do you? Without disharmony, your soap box becomes obsolete. Here’s a tip: try unconditionally loving our club and all who sail in her - save the rhetoric for ‘off forum’. Just for a bit.

Shrewsbury looked dreadful, but that’s not our issue. Good solid performance

Very good, organised, solid all round performance without doing anything fancy or desperate, good decision making and looking well drilled now,got my faith in DM upto 120%,long may it continue. :scarf:
My only concerns are if we suffer a few key injuries again.

That starting 11 is good enough to beat anyone in this league.
Add Blair and a striker and we’ve got a chance.
We’re just going to struggle when we get injuries and suspensions as we’ve no back up.
But our strongest 11 is good

A proper team performance that. Nothing too flash, nothing too fancy, but a solid display that put a match to bed pretty clinically. Our defence is getting better and better with each game.

Shrewsbury looked dreadful but clearly they are not.

Over the past 4 months, before tonight, their record is

P16 W6 D6 L4

That's borderline play-off form.

Three of their four defeats were against sides currently in the top 8.

But we made them look poor  We won every single individual battle tonight. Nothing showy. Nothing spectacular. Just a solid professional performance. The sort that successful teams do as routine.

Now. When are we going to sign some chuff? Bloody shite Bramhall.

Good result. Better second half where we stopped trying to play from the back as often. Coincidence??
Thrilled to get 2 wins on the bounce but it’s not easy on the eye at the moment.

I have been saying all season our starting 11 is good enough to finish in the top 3/4 in this league.
Suddenly after 3 wins in the last 4 games others are agreeing with me.

2 or 3 additions this month and we will finish in the play offs.
You heard it hear first.
If I am wrong I will hold my hands up.
But we do need minimum 2 quality additions. + a fully fit Matty Blair and no injuries other than two or three players maybe missing the odd game or two which is inevitable.

To keep a clean sheet on a lively pitch and in tricky conditions is testament to the players concentration. Hardly put a foot wrong defensively and at the other end pinched a couple of goals whilst not playing fantastically well in posession. But those are the results where you really see the ingrediants of a good team. Everyone was together and new their jobs. We must carry this on be more consistent now.

Defence is looking really composed at the moment. Very solid, turning into a collective unit rather than individuals. It is tough to leave anyone out when John is also fit.
