The original post was a (well I thought so) humorous way of commenting on the fact that the previously unbeatable Liverpool had just lost 3 out of four, laboured to beat West Ham in the fourth of those and were behind against Bournemouth.

It's rather surprising that anyone would actually believe I really think Liverpool aren't going to win the League. They could probably play me on the left wing for the rest of the season and still win the title.

It was a humorous allusion to the fact that Liverpool have previously let slip strong positions in their hunt for the title.

We used to have quite a lot of humour on here, back in the day.

I just think the OP is a bit of a swing and a miss to be honest. It doesn't really read as an attempt at humour but of course we all see things differently when it comes to comedy. I also think it is well known we have some Liverpool fans among us on the board and so that can exacerbate things.

Liverpool are a terrific team who will deservedly win the league in addition to the Club World Cup they've already won this season. I don't like them but I do like watching them when they're on it. I'd say the same about Leeds (whom I hate) if not for their general attitude as a club and staff, as they too play some great stuff and look very, very likely to be going up to the Premier League this season.

I’m starting to get the impression that you’re at that time in your life when (sad as it is), you post for the sake of it.

Want my advice (probably not because these days you’re so far up your own a**e you can’t see it), if you have nothing to say, then don’t say it.

Furthermore, don’t then go on & attempt to ‘justify’ such posts by alluding that they were meant as a joke & anyone who thought otherwise were not only ‘guilty’ of taking your bite, but we’re fools or worse in doing so because it ultimately gives you no credence or gravitas in fact, it goes as far as to belittle & indeed undermine past & future posts you deem to make.

But hey ho, you’ll know doubt come back at me with some sharp quip which will no doubt leave ‘your followers’ salivating at ‘Their Masters’ repost but you know what Billy, sometimes your posts are aimed so far above what you clearly believe to be ‘the mediocrity’, they actually throw a light onto your own sad inadequacies.
