Very impressed with Town tonight. Just taken the lead at Bradford.Playing some excellent stuff and on this performance they must have a chance of going up again this season.

Well 7 players that started that Bradford game, were part of that Conference North squad. I also said at the time that they reminded me of Rovers under Dave Penney, play 4-4-2, really fit hard working, honest players that would run through a brick wall for one another.

As you say they play a 4-4-2 and not many teams play that system anymore. Would be brilliant if they achieved what that Rovers team did that season and win the league. Not impossible but i think a play off place is probably more realistic. But you never know do you. Not many of us would have predicted Rovers winning the league that season after the first 5 games.What I have noticed is one or two of that Conference North team who are playing in League 2 this season look much better players at 2 leagues higher. George Thompson springs immediately to mind in the right midfield slot. He looks a very good player. Harrogate’s Sir Francis Tierney.
