It's got to be the place where everyone wears a top hat and speaks with a plum-in-the-mouth RP accent.I'm talking about Scawsby of course. However, if any of you wish to visit, you'll have to check with me first. There's a small surcharge to pay to keep the riff-raff out.

Yes as I say, on to better things No dog in this fight but unless Stainy has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years since I visited then here’s another vote for Balby > Stainforth
Askern, the prettiest village in England.
Moorends anyone?
In days gone by places were named by what industry that was in the area Shiefs of corn were stooked in the fields hence Sheiffield, when the corn was threshed they stored it in big barns in the lee of the Pennine hills hence Barnsley. With the population of these places getting larger, they had to take their human waste down to the river and cast it into the tidal river hence the name Dungcaster of course over time some of the names changed slightly.
Has anyone ever admitted to living in Highfields? Is Jacob Rees Mogg a Councillor there? Does any one in Highfields actually know that the rest of the Country has moved on a 100 years
Yep I lived there for a few years mid 60's up the posh end Coppice Road. Out the back garden gate straight into the woods or just across the road onto the playing field
Part of my Co-op milk round 1974/75 was Highfields. Not the best area but some nice people.
They were charged, serviced , cleaned and then driven outYou then picked the one that past ure eyes looking the best
Idler, did you have the same milk float every day or did you get whatever was there?
