The Keepmoat playing surface
« on February 07, 2021, 10:46:32 am by RoverinLincs »
It’s getting mentioned on loads of threads about the outstanding condition of the Keepmoat playing surface, that I reckon it’s about time it had a thread of its own!
The work by the ground staff and all involved is incredible to say the least. Teams must think that they’ve arrived at Wembley when playing away against us.
It stands out a country mile too when the EFL show shows all the goals from around the grounds.

Was only a few years ago that it was like a beach at this point.

The keepmoat pitch is the best in the league.
And a credit to the groundsman and club.

Anyone seen Peterborough's? I can't see that helping their promotion push for a team who like to get the ball down.

Yes, very worthy of a mention.

It's like a green oasis in the middle of some other spud fields around the league.

I guess we've been a little lucky with the weather having less snow than others but all the same it looks a picture. With our home record, it's definitely played its part allowing us to play our A game.

Will only get better too as we enter the growing season and, as we have fewer home games left, it's going to look and play brilliant.

Complete mud bath that pitch. Surprised their game went ahead yesterday.

The pitch is great, fair play to the ground staff.   Miles better than a few years back aswell when it was like Cleethorpes beach.

What membrane? Is it still a desso pitch, or whatever they're called?

When I put iFollow on for a night game the other week I thought I'd tuned into the snooker by mistake.

Yes, but he returned.

I think Lincoln nicked one of ours as well.

Could not believe what a mess that pitch was in yesterday. Either they have a serious problem with it or the groundsman is not doing a very good job. ( understatement ) there was virtually no grass on the pitch.
Sorry you can’t put that down to the weather.

Absolute disgrace that pitch, and still plenty of games to play this season.

Something Fergie can use to blame when they don't go up again.

Roy Hodgson berated our pitch when we played Crystal Palace in the F.A cup not so long since, he said the pitch quality was very poor.

He also had Harry Kane swinging corners in for England so I tend to take anything Owl Features says with a pinch of salt.

Talking of surfaces, I watched the highlights of the Peterborough v Crewe game and their ‘pitch’ looks to be in a shocking state!
