In the recent Copps podcast with SOD he did sound like the Burnley thing wasn't even true. He was being told he went for an interview while he was at Cantley Park.
Isn't SOD involved with Portsmouth, who we beat tonight?

Between an hour and an hour and a half each. They're working through all the old faves. The latest one is Sully. Quite a humorous chap him. There's a link somewhere on the official website.BobG

Sean was a rarity in that he really cared about what he did, and the effect it had on not just the club but the town. I doubt there are any others like him in that respect, and we were spoilt with him, and we just can't hold everybody up to those ideals. The modern game is more business like than ever before - seeking pay rises, promotions, using clubs as stepping stones. It is not a one way street though, clubs are as cut throat. 10 wins and your offered a new deal, 4 losses and your sacked...Ive never been one for the rhetoric that comes from players and managers (kissing the badge effect) it seems to sucker most fans in each and every time. I would include Andy Butler in this too - he is a proud Doncaster lad, (and a decent one at that) but if he gets the chance to move to a big club, that he can better himself at, he will go...The disappointing thing from our perspective with Darren , is that no fans of either club believe he has made the right decision. We move on though, and time to get behind Andy, hopefully he can achieve what Darren the bottler never.
