Sad thing is, the club don't head hunt.
They just sit and wait for applications.

My choice too , this season's gone , but give him chance to plan for next season , if we just keep plodding on , we will have another wasted pre season , if he doesn't want the job , we move on and look at someone else .

He’s be every Kitsons choice. It’s like saying Chris Wilder or Eddie Howe would be your choice!! Impossible.

Honestly think it’s time for an established older head, someone unlikely to piss off at the first opportunity.... Stendel would only get poached in a year or two.

We can’t keep having this every year.

Such as? The older ones who won't get poached tend to be a bit crap.

I'm sure that's what people thought about Moore before we got him!

He wouldn’t come here. No chance.

He came to Barnsley when we were relegated to league one and out of work .

Rovers are more than capable off recruiting Daniel Stendel in my opinion .

He knows South Yorkshire and he knows league one .

Your club needs a lift as we did following relegation in 2018 , some new energy breathing back in to it .

He's got that type of personality to lift a club .

If you recruit him young and energetic players who can play the high press system you'll be in business next season .

This stock has risen massively since then. He will end up at Nancy I’ve been told.

And working for the same owners who sacked him at Barnsley as Nancy are owned by our not so wonderful consortium .

I'd be once bitten twice shy if I was Daniel if there are other options on the table personally .

He was linked with the Pompey job and apparently turned it down as wanted more security rather than an interim basis. Theres no way you can compare him to Howe or Wilder.

Sounds like he's not sold on Nancy at the moment too as he wants a longer term contract.

Would we offer a longer contract? We want a manager who will stick around so sounds like he wants the same thing we do doesn't it? I know it has a risk of backfiring if he turns out to be useless but it's one i'd take for sure.

Stability is one thing the Rovers do offer a manager - we aren’t a hire ‘em fire’em club.
I’d be seriously looking at Stendel - as opposed to Wellens (rose tinted specs)

We’re not, but for anyone looking for the security of a long-term deal they won’t get it with us.

For the right person we have to change that.

Coleman from Accrington. To hell with invite applications. Ask if we can approach. Must be worth a punt?

Hes a level above L1.
wouldn’t say he’s a level above because he’s not proven himself in the championship yet as they didn’t have a great season. Think he would consider taking job because like tyke says he knows the area and knows the league.

Brian McDermott would be an experienced older head who plays things the right way. I hope if we do make a change that supporters will get behind whoever it might be.
