It’s hard to define “ serious quality”

I would think a ‘left field’ appointment is the last thing we need, considering what we’ve witnessed over the last few months! He may well have impressed everyone during his interview, but it’s hardly going to be something that the players can identify with.

And, we have to attract some serious quality to the Club if we’re to have any chance of competing at all next season!

What absolute nonsense Alan.

Without any knowledge whatsoever you've managed to pull out a negative!

Exactly PDX. The intent is fine. But the law is still an ass. Pygmies? Hobgoblins? 3 legged circus freaks?

BobG

We could play a three legged circus freak upfront.
At least he wouldn't get nutmegged easily.

we need someone with leadership qualities ...a no nonsense guy like Wellens would be the right man at this juncture when everything on the playing side is broken .Everything !
We don’t need an orator who can impress by charms and displays of passion at an interview .Andy Butler knew what script to read from too but jeez he has proven to be no leader  of men in battle .Football is beautiful but not when it turns out to look like it does in this club right now .

But we don't need someone who can (whether they intend to or not) rub people up the wrong way and possibly lose the dressing room. You have to have the right people skills to know when to use the stick and when to use a carrot, and it's a fine balancing act.

I think you are being a little unfair on Butler. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink about sums up Butler and the players.

Steven Reid has entered the betting list. Currently involved in the Scotland setup and has previously coached at WBA.

He seems to change coaching jobs annually, we want someone without that tendency.

I’ve mentioned him! But that doesn’t narrow it down!

Cant be Stocky. Free Press post today says the 3 candidates remaining involve 2 who are out of work and 1 who is currently employed within the EFL. I think that its somebody who is either an assistant or in a coaching role.

It could well be... First team coach at Reading and would seemingly fit the bill.

Although there's many who it could be,   we may never know.

I still think Wellens will get it.

That’s true. John Eustace was heavily linked last time wasn’t he? Decent record in the non league with Kidderminster and a respected coach now in the EFL.

Just throwing out names really! But maybe he’d fit the bill.

Paulo Torres

That would be an odd one, current manager of an Angolan side?

Which one is currently employed within the EFL?

The more i read and watch interviews of Stephen Robinson the more i believe hes our man. Rebuilt a squad at Motherwell and was very successful in what he did there. The owners loved him amd so did the fans. I think he suits us and what we are looking for down to the ground.
