To be fair the Sun article only says Wellens is one of three under consideration.

I suspect the movement in the bookies odds will because money has gone on Wellens. Perhaps someone around the club has heard something.

Probably down to the agents and disusing wages, I didn't envision we would be announcing anything this side of the weekend if we were only just 2nd interviewing yesterday

I spoke with the club this morning, and the successful candidate has accepted the role and is delighted to be joining the club.

The delay with the official announcement is down to a few factors, none of them serious or to do with the appointment itself, but there are a number of meetings that will be taking place today and over the weekend, so the plan is to do the official announcement once those details are taken care of.

Please can someone phone the club shop and find out which shirt letters they're short of, but expect to have by Monday, please?

According to Hoden the main reason it's taking til Monday is to get the new man's assistant in place. Don't think it's anything to worry about, it sounds like we've got our first choice.
