Brian Barry-Murphy just creeped into the bookies odds, I know nothing about his style of play at Rochdale.

He fits the bill of being employed. I like him, definitely wouldn’t be disappointed.

Keith hill been sacked today, and they’re in the playoffs
Makes you think he could’ve gone for an interview somewhere else behind tranmeres back and they’ve found out

I feel there's more to it. A lot of Tranmere fans seem glad he's gone

Hope the leftfield isnt Holloway.

Why would he be left field?

Apologies Martin i always though left field meant strange, and Holloway is certainly strange.

My mistake.

No worries. Of course it does mean strange but not in this context.

When I say one of the candidates is left field it just means you wouldn't be able to see a history of management experience, a bit like McCann when he had very little actual managerial experience to rely on, but yet his enthusiasm and confidence convinced everyone he could do the job.

Interesting that 2 elected to withdraw from consideration. Would those be the 2 who we delayed the process for?

Based on SM's post their was more than one interview yesterday, and they were only for those that couldn't attend previously.

Liam Rosenior could be a shout - although if successful - we may have the same problem re - being poached by 'bigger' clubs

Their forum says the same - glad to see him go - even though they're in the play-offs

Have any of their fans said the Tranmere board don’t want promotion?

He was originally appointed to the end of this season but I believe it was written into his contract that he was guaranteed another season if they won promotion.
Maybe the Chairman didn't want that to happen?

My understanding is that one of those is more 'left field' than the other two,

Leon Trotsky? Owen Jones?

Question for Silent Majority (if you can answer).

Did any women apply for the job ?

I can ask. It's not a question that's cropped up before.

Were the final first round interviews completed today?

Still ongoing.

Still ongoing as in into this evening or into another day? Are we still hoping to hold the second stage on Wednesday with a view to appointing this week?

As into the evening. I’ll get a catch up shortly.

Shortly as in today? Tommorow?
Shortly as on when he's got the time. Talk about demanding

It was a simple question, I like many others appreciate the effort and honesty that comes from SM liasing with the club.

Don't be such a arsehole. People on this forum just love little sideswipe at people, easy I suppose when sat behind a keyboard under a hidden name.

- It's not Keith Hill
- It's not a woman
- It's not Nicky Butt
- It's not Brian Barry-Murphy
- It's not David Wagner
- It's not Aidy Boothroyd
- It's not Liam Rosenior

From Hoden.

An assistant or coach at a Championship club perhaps?

If not Rosenior then maybe someone like Eustace at QPR? Seems to have had a good record with Kidderminster at a lower level.

The two in work managers may be Heckingbottom and Mellon. There have been that many I can’t remember if they’ve been ruled out!

Seems like Wellens is Bradford fans' first choice for their manager too.
I propose we have whip round to help pay his taxi to Bradford …

Holden said the other day Mellon is not in the running.

Hopefully only a couple more days and we’ll all know who it is.

Then we can get on with the next guessing game of which players we’ll keep/release and which players we’ll sign and who’s “worth a punt”

I think it's two out of Wellens, Stephen Robinson and Graeme Jones, my guess being the first two, plus the so far unmentioned, leftfield candidate, who I don't have a clue about. Hansi Flick perhaps?

The law states that you to interview a black individual so has one been and gone or has he got to this next stage we will see Friday or early next week

You only have to guarantee at least one black person an interview if any apply.

Exactly PDX. The intent is fine. But the law is still an ass. Pygmies? Hobgoblins? 3 legged circus freaks?
