Halliday probably out for the season and Bogle back in squad for tomorrow - from FP

That might put the minds of some sceptics at ease about why Halliday isn’t playing.

Do you not think it might do the opposite, Hound? Unless I'm misreading your post. A minor back issue has extended into a season-ending, multi-month problem.

I sincerely hope the rumours aren't true, as Brad has been one of the hardest working players for us on the pitch.

No mate, I honestly think that the FP announcement might be truthful.
Quite a few people have had conspiracy theories haven’t they.
However, as you say, they will probably still think the same as before.
As many people will know, back injuries can be difficult to clear and it could be quite feasible that it has gone on for a few weeks.
No doubt we will find out in the near future.

We'll have a better idea by which team he ends up signing for, if it's us then it is likely wild conspiracy nonsense, and if not then it will probably become accepted fact that the rumours are true...even if they aren't.

Either way, looks like Joe Wright at full back for the remaining games.

Yep, I agree with that first statement.
I hope he does re sign for us as you do, he has been good for us.
I have no doubt that Peterbro will be targeting our RB position tomorrow.
Their front three are excellent.

They definitely will, mate, but I reckon they would have done with Halliday there anyway; I'm pretty sure other teams have this season.

We need a stronger right back next season if we're serious about promotion.

Perhaps they would SS (have targeted our RB) but I have seen teams have as much success attacking our LB and CBs.
People have conveniently overlooked that.

Teams havn't attacked the right back at all Steve, they have attacked the space behind whoever has been playing there because they have been following the managers instructions to play a high line, and both full back areas have played that way this season with similar results.
We are asking both to cover the full length of the field, defending at one end and being wide attackers at the other, to do that you need electrifying speed as well as stamina ala Walker at Man City and remind me how much he cost.
The attacking side of their game both have done well, but when faced with wide men with as much or more pace struggle to defend, as most players at our level playing that system would do, the system does not suit the players now that other teams have worked out our system since the first half of the season.

I can’t see halliday being one of the players leaving at the end of the season and think his comeback being delayed will be down to our season being basically over so no point rushing him back, let him take time to get back to 100% and then have a full pre season. What’s the point of rushing him back into the squad?

Agree. If Dembele plays for them I expect him to have a field day.

At least 5-0

Poor Butler doesn’t have the team behind him, he has no chance
Coppinger should walk away now
Hull promoted
Peterborough tooo

We are treading water,   Sad but true

It will be interesting to see which players are absent tonight, as Liam Hoden is saying the players affected by covid will not be named.
If it’s “key players” ( yes that’s probably an oxymoron currently) I would consider putting a hefty wedge on a posh win. They need three points to secure promotion so will be well up for this. They have won three of their last 6 home games losing two and drawing one and will want to make amends for the last home defeat to the gills.

I wonder how many of us fans will bother to watch tonight on ifollow. With the missing 4 added to all the woe that we’ve gone through recently, there isn’t much to get excited about in this game.

But I’ve just bought my pass so I will be giving it a go in eternal optimism that things may change

with the game kicking off at 7.45 Peterborough could be up at half time if results go there way

I think they have it in the bag already. A very comfortable end of season finish for them. Promoted with two games left. Fair play.
If only.............

Well well. That has to go down as the surprise result of the evening in lge 1.
Feared a battering and at 2 down after 23 mins I thought oh no, please not a white wash.
Academic to posh who I believe have secured promo now.
Very happy with a draw tonight. Despite it being largely irrelevant for rovers.

I stand corrected. Lincoln must win all three and posh must lose both remaining games. Looking at their gd. A draw would do it.

Lincoln play Peterborough on Saturday. Then final game of season for Peterborough is away at Rovers.

Could it...could it...oh that would be too funny by far.

I’ve just checked the fixtures. Lincoln are indeed away at posh this sat , then away at charlton tues and home to Wimbledon last day.
I’d rather posh went up than Lincoln. Too many glory hunting gimps around my part of Lincolnshire.
