Jones just from TJ

Great effort from them all. 100% commitment can’t knock any of them.
Why were we not doing this every game?

Has to be Jones.
Four r five very good saves kept us in the game.
He should be given a chance to start as number one next season.

if we would have left TR and JJ on I think we would be saying TR, I agree on Jones though, some very good saves - ludicrous subs to make, I know this was a meaningless game to us, but no sub should be made to give a bit of time to someone, its about winning - AND NEVER - NEVER take a lad terrorising a team off when he is on a hatrick

TJJ, Lokilo and Jones were the stand outs.

Could have gone for Richards, Lokilo, Jones, but thought Butler had a very, very solid game whilst those others were in the limelight.

I thought the defence was poor again, every game we have been diving, scrambling or sliding around to prevent goals, great commitment, but why does it look and feel so desperate - a total lack of control. Its not helped by a midfield with more holes than an aero bar .
We need a re-think on midfield and defence.

The massive gaps in our midfield is a contributor to why some of our defenders have received, at times, unwarranted stick from supporters.

I thought all three at the top of the poll was brilliant but without Taylor’s 2 goals we would have lost so he got my vote,  I would consider a cheeky bid in the summer if I was rovers

More and more impressed with LJ each time I see him. We have an asset there that's for sure. Could be cash in the bank in a couple of years.

Agree 100%
I have been saying this for weeks. The problem is our midfield. When we don’t have the ball they are not good at defending. Our back 4 are getting very little protection.
Our 2 full backs are almost always 1 on 1 or even 1 on 2  Crosses come in far too easy. A better team than Rochdale would have scored 5 goals or more today. Having said that we should have scored 5
Some unbelievable chances missed by both teams with either poor final ball, decision making or just bad finishing.
Very entertaining to watch though with end to end attacking football and not much going on in the middle of the park apart from 30 yd runs at the opposing defences.

I’m not sure about that Campsall the midfield set up a few 1on1sans 2 on Ines today

Going forward we did the same to Rochdale yes. We played brilliantly on the break but final execution let us down.
I am talking about leaving our full backs defending 1 on 1 or having 2 players to defend against.
The midfielders we have are not good defenders. None of them.

Greaves maybe, but he dives in with tackles and can be a liability. The way he plays he will pick up far too many yellow and red cards. Anyway he only got 10 mins at the end.

Get his decision making right with his tackling and improve his passing and he could be player.

Yes mate but you made reference about the midfield not being up to it so I just said that they set up a lot today

Voted for Jones but Horton is looking increasingly at home in the defence and had Richards - not the most defensively minded - in front of him for cover.

Richards is better helping his full back than in the middle defending in very dangerous areas. His tackling is suspect so do not play him in a position where he needs to make lots of them.
Still thought Horton was left exposed on several occasions.

I'm not saying Jones is faultless but how at ease has he looked pretty much since day one? There is work to do but he looks to have the right mentality.

Looks very capable of being our number one next season and will now only improve with more game time.

LJ got my vote but it could have been Butler, Richards, Horton or Lokilo.

He did make some good saves granted. Could he have done better with their goal?

Could have maybe held on to the initial save but did well to make that anyway. Sims, James, Anderson and Wright could have put in a challenge too.

Let down by his defence on that. He made a good reflex stop but the defenders didn't get to it first to clear the danger.

We could well have lost without Jones yesterday, he made saves that certain other keepers of ours this season would not have made I don't think.

Tough one between Lokilo & Jones for me. Lokilo frightened them to death with his directness & Jones made a handful of good saves. He also Cruyff turned their forward. He gets my vote on that basis!

Im surprised about the lack of votes for John-Jules, it was down to his movement and playmaking that we did so well going forward. Excellent line leader - please can we get him and Richards back next year.

Richards needs to show the same application as in the last 2 games for that to happen

There seems to be a theme with Richards. I’f he scores he’s been trying, if he doesn’t he’s not trying.

I don’t but it.
