Harrogate T v Concord R is the Trophy final ko 5pm

Standard of football is excellent for this level.
Both teams playing passing football on the deck. No just belt it and hope football.
Very impressed so far.

What has happened to Consett's Black & White stripe jerseys? I am sure they wore them in 1958 when we beat them 5-0 in the FA Cup?  :) :)

Consett v Hepburn is a local derby, no?   It all adds some spice.

Not really as Consett is north West Durham and Hebburn is North East Durham near Sunderland.

But you could classify it a Derby for purposes of this being a National Cup but as a league game probably not.

Only you and Selby would remember that.  :) :) :)

Sorry but that one is for Brian (Selby)

Being only a Pup, 66 in 14 days time i can only remember Crook Town and Brandon Utd matches both from Durham & Penrith from Cumbria.

How many chances are going begging in this match.

We think Rovers miss chances. We are clinical compared to these teams.

JUST AS I WRITE Hebburn score 3-2

Strange coincidence Harrogate play in almost same strip as Hebburn in the other final today.
Hope it is an omen regarding the result.

Town should win as Full time league club v National League South.  Should.

They did, Bob. I was there. As I went through the kid's entrance I saw Wolfie and BB coming through the OAP's entrance.

Pretty sure it’s Thorne,
His dad was manager and player for Thorne colliery and the family lived in the village.
Robbie left and went to uni up at Newcastle and stayed up there

Done. Well done Town.

Would have Weaver as manager at Rovers. He will not have applied though.
Has got a great job at Harrogate. Dad is Chairman so knows he has time to build the playing side of the club without worrying about a few bad results.

Mind you he could have an even better job at Rovers!!!

I played with him back in the day.

I knew they are from Doncaster dickos, didn’t know where they lived.
I also know Simon Weaver’s father is the owner of Strata Homes house builders.

Documentary on Harrogate Town now on BT and this is free to view it seems as it’s on and i don’t pay a BT subscription any more.

Martin Weaver was a good tennis player.
I played against him a few times on Polypipe trips to Spain and Portugal.
