Mask Wearing Tomorrow
« on August 06, 2021, 05:38:17 pm by Crowle Rover »
Having not been to any of the friendlies what's the general attitude to mask wearing inside the ground?

Do many people wear them?

No requirement for masks at all. Felt very relaxed at the friendlies, noticed a few people wearing them in the concourse but most didn’t.

It would be wise to have a mask with you, if only for the time you might spend under the stands on the concourse amongst crowds.

I'll be wearing a mask through turnstiles and concourse but probably not in my seat unless some spotty youth starts coughing and spluttering around me.

Do you have a level of infection in the population in mind that would make you feel comfortable returning?

In that case, mate, you'll probably never get to the Rovers again, because this virus is never going to be completely gone.

I have not seen many using masks but that doesn’t stop me using one. I wore a mask at Rossi and at the Newcastle And Sheffield United games and I will use one as long as I feel safe, but that is more through health reasons

Vicar,

There are quite a lot of older Rovers fans and I dare say quite a few with underlying health conditions. It would be sensible for them, like yourself to take precautions.

I'd like to think others would think of people like that when they make their decision about whether to wear a mask or not. Human nature being what it is I guess quite a few won't think of it.

While this thing is not going away, it's also not the flu and demands some respect. Particularly from the vulnerable.

If you believe yourself to be  “ vulnerable” and feel comfortable wearing a mouth covering ( mask, scarf etc) do so!

If you feel you want to be normal again and take in big gulps of air unrestricted then don’t….

And that's why people like Barmby are making the decision not to risk it.

I agree with you River Don, it is a worrying ordeal going to a game with asthma cops and now cancer as you say, but I don’t want to give up doing what I have been doing sines I was 8.  I will be going and I will be judging it game by game, and see how it goes but I will have my mask on, and I won’t care what anyone says or the way they look at me as they did at the Sheffield United game but I will still go I can forgive other people ignorance lol

no it isn’t but I think it should be in the toilets and concourse if not eating or drinking

If you are in West stand and exit at the south end I would either go early or wait a few minutes after the game to avoid the crush with the majority of fans not wearing masks.

The PM is happy??!! F*ck*ng hell that’s a huge red flag - make your own decisions based on your own views and not one on someone who has allowed 160,000 people to die and f*ck*d up every opportunity to control the pandemic as well as robbing the country of billions!

Mine are that I will wear a mask indoors with crowds but outdoors is probably safe. That’s just my view, we have to make our own decisions on the level of risk that is acceptable to us based on our own circumstances, not what a pathological liar tells us.

And there goes my tongue in cheek comment…..damn you didn’t mess around…lol….

But your right , each person will do what THEY have to do and not EXPECT others to do what they don’t want to do……horses courses

Nice to see the sociopaths out in force tonight.

I’ll be wearing a mask, as I have the ability to empathise with others.

So those of us not wearing masks tomorrow, probably the vast majority, are all sociopaths without the ability to empathise with others?

Is that what you're saying?

Sarcasm, mockery and self righteous indignation.

It's not exactly going to reassure is it?
