I'll be surprised if Rowe makes it on to the pitch and, if he does, plays for more than half an hour. A back spasm can take weeks to get over and if he comes back too early he'll only wind up missing more games in a few weeks' time. In better news, the last two games have shown that we can get a result without him.

If we can smother Stockley then we have half a chance of getting something out of the game.

Unfortunately, unless and until we get some stronger mentality into our away performances I fear that we'll still be a bit of a soft touch. Would love to be proved wrong.

I’ve suffered with back spasms, they can be here one day and gone the next but don’t take much aggravating to return.

Sounds from Wellens like this lot will not be playing at Charlton - Rowe, Taylor, Gardner, Close, John, Fejiri and Seaman.

That’s quite a lot of our headline talent in there.

I’d Chuck him in tomorrow and tell him that he’s got a point to prove… to both clubs. Then if that doesn’t fire him up throw him in the Thames.

Think it's important we get the 1st goal today and give the lads some confidence, hopefully Tommy rowe will have recovered to at least play some part

Charlton will be boosted by Adkins leaving and Jackson taking over. It will be a really tough game. 2-0 sounds about right.

So not a ‘I think we’ll lose’ then but a score line to boot!

Any thoughts on their goal scorers?

Jayden Stockley is a huge danger. Watched him a lot when i lived down in the SW and used to go and watch Exeter a lot. He hasn't quite cut it at Championship level but i still think he's good enough to.

Glad we're not at home today. Traffic carnage on the M18 shut in both directions.

Getting a bit f**ked off with the roads around here tbh.

Last saturday there was stood traffic on the M1 in Derbyshire as i come up the M1 from midlands and so had to divert through Chesterfield, Killamarsh, Ulley, Whiston then join M18.

Tuesday night v Cambridge, stood traffic again on M1 Derbyshire - overturned lorry so went through Dronfield, Manor Top and then stuck on parkway at Catcliffe for a bas**rd hour!

Luckily made it in time to pick my mate up from Rotherham and onto the Keepmoat.

These smart motorways though are designed by thick people. The smart motorways are dangerous and create traffic chaos when someone breaks down.

Team announced. Rowe on the bench. Other than that, may as well not really have any subs. Need the first 11 to hit the ground running or this will be a procession for Charlton.

Going 3 -0. Charlton take an early lead, as we usually don't realize we are playing a match until we've conceded early to wake us up. Charlton go 3 up by half time, to include a penalty gifted by Williams. We dig in after the break and make the 2nd half difficult for the hosts.

25 Minutes in. No attempts at goal from us. Dire again. Sort it Wellens. Charlton are managerless and near the bottom!

Penalty now for Charlton. 2 down. We can't defend crosses and corners and we can't stop giving penalties away.

Piss off Wellens. Joke.

Hats off to the travelling fans today.

This away form needs sorting quick.

What are we doing. Set pieces defending is a joke. Paul Gerrard???
If he is in charge the he is not doing his job.

If Paul Gerrard is telling the players who to mark at set pieces and the players aren’t doing that who’s fault is it

Even the Charlton commentators saying “they can’t be that bad in the second half” about us.

It’s a terrible defensive unit. They basically never keep a clean sheet (now up to around 90pc of league games where we concede). You name the scenario, this lot will concede.

The other problem is that, away from home mostly - we don't create much and their keeper rarely gets tested. Even at Gillingham where we looked sharper, their keeper didn't have too much to do. It's f**king November on Monday and we haven't won a game away from home league or cup, nor looked likely to !

The coach is the one who is responsible. Yes it may be the players not doing what they are told to do but in the end it is the coach who will get the bullet not the players.

We need to change a game. We've got a teenager on the bench who has scored one tap in on the goal line all season and also our top scorer, a 32 year old defensive player.

A 32 year old defender is our game changer.

On that basis alone, Wellens needs to apologize and look for alternative employment.

Another poorly defended cross.

Two huge games now against shit teams. Can we be less shit than them and beat them?

Do we want Wellens in charge for these?

Charlton seem to have done OK sacking their manager.
