I'd take that at the moment though, which again is such a sad thing to be admitting. More to the point , what did you think a season of consolidation meant??Consolidation to me means mid table or a bit below and certainly doesn't involve being embroiled in a relegation battle from week 1.

Fair enough RD. I'd take that at the moment though, which again is such a sad thing to be admitting.

It does but it doesn’t state how you get there. Every chance of us finishing a bit below midtable
Just heard one of our most loyal fans on Radio Sheffield Lincoln Rover. He said it was worse than dire last night. Both teams were appalling and both were booed off by their own fans.Time wasting by Dahlberg in the last min of injury time taking a free kick 10 yds inside our own half was farcical and got yellow carded. He just needed to boot it into the Crewe pen area.I think if they were not under instruction to hold out for a draw it shows a lack of confidence. Players were just desperate to not lose another away game.I suppose it is understandable but against a team who is worse than us we should have gone for the jugular.Confidence is the major player now.We need back to back wins to lift the players.

I think we slightly edged the second half from what I heard.

Said it so many times, we must have stability now in the hot seat even if it means pain in the short term. Pain does not mean we have to go down a league, but if we do we do. I am very confident we will not go down. 30 games to play. Possibly only 36 more points needed. I say only but that is well within our capabilities once we get those injured players back and 2/3 decent additions in January.
The project should be just two things. 1. Sustain the longevity of the football club.2. Play football. Our expectations as football supporters have become way way above their station. Inspired/ poisoned no doubt by what happens higher up the pyramid.
NR: A project is an organised endeavour to achieve a specified objective. It is run over a fixed period to a budget and has interim staging posts at which points progress is assessed against the original schedule. It is expected to keep within its spending limits and the concept is designed to ensure that it is properly planned and stays on track. Achieving interim quantifiable objectives along the way ensures that it is progressing. The Chairman’s career was in the Construction Industry where modern methodologies were pioneered and developed, so he will be very used to its purpose and value.“Playing football” even if it is shorthand for good football is really too vague to tie anyone down to a worthwhile outcome. A team could be doing that in any League. Equally “Sustaining the longevity of the club” may well equate with great things for some, but you could say DRFC managed this even in the late 90s.My point is that if this is that if we are to believe that it is a project in the real sense of the word, it looks to be well behind schedule.(One subscriber is known as “Since 1969” and on that basis I might classify myself as “Since 1948”, so challenging my loyalty and short-termism is not appropriate.)
