In all honesty we need 8/9 new players

Would Okenabirhie, Taylor, John, Bostock, Anderson, Seaman, Galbraith count as any of those 8 or 9?

I know people have hiveminded McSheffrey into the job, but he's set us up here with massive gaps all over the pitch. Shape is the only thing we possibly could have done.

Look at the 2nd goal.

S..t, spoke too soon. Might as well give Bogle a run out at half time, get Barlow on as well.

Second half come on get some shots on goal, if you have to play ugly do it. Mix it up a bit, nothing to lose. Get some subs on.

I was being facetious.

How many players do we want. Those 7 would probably all make the starting 11. We need more than 2/3 but not as many as 8/9 IMHO. Give me 4 of real quality rather 8/9 not any better than those 7 and I will be happy.

The players he has available would struggle in the national League as a whole, not much more to say than that.  There's only 2 or 3 out there today you'd want to be playing. Harsh but true.

It's wrong to blame any of the individual young lads 1) They are only the product of the academy built by the club 2) they should never be thrown into a game like this 3) some of the 'senior' players are equally as bad.

I feel sorry for G Mc. He’s done his best under very difficult circumstances and surely there is a position within the football management for him BUT I really hope he isn’t the one being appointed. We need an experienced new guy who can get the playing side by the scruff of the neck and sort the mess we are in. It won’t be easy but fingers crossed we at last make the right appointment.

We’re staying in the game, if it stays like this we will get an opportunity to score.
only chance for us to score would be a penalty

Well there is an experienced head on the bench in Gardner. I'm not his biggest fan but why would you have ravenhill in there to add to the inexperience when Gardner could be in there ( or Rowe in centre Nd Gardner out on left). It makes sense especially with loss of Anderson to get as much football experience on the pitch surely. I'd love to know GMs thinking on this

It must be an extremely tough watch for the Rovers faithful .

Difficult to see any positives to be honest .

I understand it's a make shift team out there and some of those young lads look totally lost .

The young lad who made the challenge for the Sunderland penalty just cried out of a lack of experience and the second goal too when everyone totally switched off .

The unfortunate thing is that Sunderland haven't had to do a right lot to lead 2-0 .

Agree with a few players back and a decent centre half defensive midfielder winger and forward we might just stay up if we can sign them 1 at week in January

it's been pretty dire...... I think Blythe and Olowu have done well and Horton and Smith have played OK.  Rowe hasn't been in the game and the front two may as well get an early shower.  I'd stick Barlow and Bogle on and see if we can play off them a bit...

A bit of nouse is better than a lightweight inexperienced 19yo, next to to other inexperienced youngsters.

Even disregarding what Gardner does with the ball (can't be much worse than what the rest are doing with it!) I would hope he would be adding in guidance and leadership, or even coaching the youngsters around him on shape and positioning

Not just him. The whole recruitment team need sacking as well if they have identified this shower of shite as being good enough for a mid table finish

The speed at which they've achieved this is astounding.

To transform an, admittedly overperforming, team who were sitting second midway through last season into one of the worst two teams in the division. That's truly going some that is.
