Let's drag in the nearest passer-by and give him the job. That'd be quick and you never know, we might just strike lucky.Or we could just continue with the cronyism by giving another person connected to the club the job. That isn't cronyism, at all. We also haven't appointed a permanent manager from within the club since Dave Penney got the job almost 20 years ago.I was referring to Wellens, an ex player with reasonakdy fresh links to the club and board.Butler to an extent. When Moore left we should have recruited a manager then. Not someone with previous club links. And what could be GM. Once I can accept.Twice is more than coincidence. If GM is appointed that seals it.Familiarity breeds contempt.Just my opinion.

Think I’ve said somewhere previously, I will support GM if he gets the job today/tomorrow/next month but I genuinely worry this has an Andy butler escapade written all over it and we will be looking for yet another manager in the not too distant future.Funny though, those originally scoffing at the proposed ‘dinosaurs’ being linked with the job in the early days of this process are the same ones now stating GM is a cheap option and lacks experience. They literally can’t win.

The people on about cheap option and saying GM isn't good enough all wanted a big name or Flynn, even if the big name has done F all for 10 years.
I’d love to know who the “ex prem “ candidates were. And why they were not chosen .

On 15th dec it was reported that two ex premier league managers were in a 5 man shortlist for the job. ( Yorkshire post)

Nobody questioned RW's salary, nor DM's or any of the previous managers so I fail to see why they should question GM. Is it just because a section of our fan base think its great to level criticism based on no information at all?
