As good as I have seen us play for 18 months, we may be down, but there a signs we may be back.
Good point to make, I should have put since DM had his head turned - not sure how long that is, feels like a lifetime though.
Encouraging that we showed some attacking threat. But Jeez our defending...
Have to say we never adequately replaced Whiteman or Marquis, did we? I can see why folks are pissed off and ask questions. Far too much trust put in Darren Moore, who did a right number on us and the rot set in. We haven’t recovered. Butler was a rabbit in the headlights. Wellens talked a good game but was crap.I really do think in McSheffrey we have a good young manager. I can see improvements. I think it bodes well. So, yeah, we likely go down this season but it’s happened before. We will regroup and bounce back.Keep the faith.

He would still have the same group of sub-standard Wellens recruits in the majority from which to select. And just as it’s difficult to recruit players in the January window with relegation looming, so it would be difficult to find the mythical managerial genius that would be able to make more out of the current squad than GM.GM cannot turn base metal into gold, but he certainly seems to making far more of his very moderate playing assets than his predecessor. And better still, he talks constructively and perceptively rather than streaming excuses.
