Bloody hell, that's impressive! 30% of your wins have come in 2 guesses compared to 4% of mine - but I've got a better overall win ratio. Must be down to the opening guess - perhaps mine eliminates a lot more potential words overall but it doesn't get as close to a lot of potential winners.

I usually go to bed at 10 pm and get up at 6 am.

So you have just seen in an uncontrolled experiment what travelling to Crawley has done

Still awake 5 hours after my usual bed time then 5 hours sleep till 8 am

So I corrected the 128 to the correct figure of 28. Well spotted

I've done 127 in a row and surely soon my % success rate must go to 98 % ?

There are many suggested start words , even strategies

I chose STARE without knowing of the above. I have stuck with it and have hoped to see it come up but have only had 4 right on row one so far , and STAIR which doesn't count


I figured all those Letters were common and often get me off to a good start , but I have thought many times it's often as good to get NIL


In that case I do have second row guesses ready and similarly have second guess options ready depending on what Row 1 throws up


No doubt though it's a good challenge and I look forward to it every day. Hoping I can keep the run going

In a very similar thought process I chose LATER as my starting word thinking it would rule in or out some of the most commonly used letters.
