Am I the only one that is worried we will do a Southend and slip out of League Two next season with successive relegations?
There were many people said shite like this the last time we went to league 2Ended up winning promotion with 5 games to spare
We had a much stronger core to the squad that went down in 15/16 than we have now.CoppingerRowe (6 years younger)ButlerMasonAlcockWilliamsWe added to that with some first rate signingsMarquisBaudryBlairWrightMay, late on. And most of that core stayed fit for most of the season.I don't think it's unreasonable to worry about the task facing us next season to put a competitive side together.
Another question mark is the manager really. I'm not making a judgement on GM either way at this point, but last time we went down we had Ferguson in charge. Like him or not, he was a proven manager for the level and had been there and done it with a track record of promotions from that league and the one above. I think that showed in the way we approached that season. We got a lot of good transfer business done early, and reasonably quickly settled into a style that was effective.GM is more of an unknown quantity. I think there's a risk of going into next season with a bit of complacency because we'll have one of the bigger budgets in L2, and some good players on paper. You need a bit more than just that.

Anderson, Close, Rowe, Taylor and Fej… and possibly Knoyle and Hiwula could be a a decent core to go into next season with. Add Younger, Olowu and Reo to that as developing players. Add 4/5 solid signings at a prime age into that mix and it could look quite healthy.
