Go have a look BB. And ask yourself why he was taken off.
Out of those league starts, how many times was he taken off? As I said, he was only allowed to be a fringe player and was only given one fair run in the side, and he responded by being the top scorer. Had Darren Moore not preferred the likes of Rakish Bingham and Kwame Thomas maybe there would have still been a place for May now.
Moore properly had our pants down getting rid of these contracted players and replacing them with loans. He along with injuries are the two biggest contributing factors to where we are now

I don’t remember him ever scoring on a regular basis for us other than a brace or two in the EFL Trophy and the hat trick (or was it 4 goals?) against a non league outfit in the FA Cup alongside sporadic league goals.

I asked the question how many times was he taken off, and as per usual you don't answer. I know from those games I was there that he was a scapegoat, and that is why he was taken off. Maybe he was too nice and therefore easy meat for Darren Moore to exploit.Anyway, unlike others on this forum, I for one saw something about him that warranted more playing time, and I've been proven right. As I said, it's called vision. Some of us have an eye for a good player, some of us don't.

His performances in games and I’m guessing in training were never going to elevate him above that. It’s great that he’s scoring goals in League One now and he’s clearly developed but we did the right thing selling him when we did (although I’d have him back in a heartbeat!)
