Will Rotherham implode ?
« on February 25, 2022, 03:37:47 am by Colemans Left Hook »
They have been scraping by recently - very lucky against Wigan who had a good goal chalked out for 2-0 before scoring an  undeserved worldie  to scrape a point.

and also VERY lucky against Wednesday as we all know

Against Morecambe they won 2-0 but their manager admits they could have lost the match in the second half as Morecambe played football and took control (w.t.f)

remember they fell to bits at home when Mighty Fleetwood who beat them 4-2 and  did the double over them beating them 1-0

if Smudge or Ladapo got injured they would be right in trouble

their next lot of matches are

Plymouth away saturday

Shrewsbury away  tuesday
The MK Dons juggernaught home March 5th
A Mickey Mouse cup game midweek
Wycombe away On the Saturday ( mutual aerial bombardment here)

and they have virtually no "rabble teams" to play in the rest of their matches

Gillingham away last match

No they are a side that find a way to win. A good side will play poorly but still come away with a result, Rotherham have this trait.

They are too big, powerful, consistent and ruthless not to be promoted from this league.

I think that their confidence will see them through, much as it grieves me to say they are a big powerful machine. Really surprised that Warne has not moved on to manage huger up, or that Smith has not had a big money move

Yes they are a big, solid hard to beat side with good quality. Go up a league though and they become a big solid side with limitations.
They are a lower half , around the relegation zone championship side.

Not now. They will get enough points to get promoted, not necessarily as Champions but does that really matter?

Who cares? They are so far away from where we are at the moment it’s unfathomable.
The Will Grigg episode being the epitome of the situation.

They are a few years on from where we are. Also they get slightly higher average attendances that give them greater chance of affording better players. They have a settled side they’ve built over a few seasons. Settled management team.

They’ve gone down the powerful, weigh them down way of playing. We tried the smaller technical way, that hasn’t worked. I think somewhere between the two is good for us.

Is this a wind up? You’ve picked some results there in which they won 2 without conceding and drew the other against a promotion rival.

You also left out the 5-0 demolition of us. Bit of a strange post

No. In fact I hope they win every game as they have Lincoln, Shrewsbury x2 and Gillingham to play

Sorry I don’t usually post on rival sites unless we’re about to play that team but as this is about my club I’ll give my tuppence worth.

We’ve not played well for a few months now, we stay in games and somehow or t’other manage to get the result.

Today for example Plymouth had 2 glaring misses and 2 shocking quite straight forwards crosses that would’ve been tap ins.

Every match I seem to be saying we got away with one there.

We’ve got a tough run of matches coming up, let’s see how it goes.

Good luck with your battle 4 points is nothing at the pointy end of the season.

Obviously the posters on here rightfully haven't a clue about Rotherham and judge them solely on results

The Rotherham fan forgot to mention apart from the recent injury to Grigg they have have minimal injuries

to quote  Warnes post match interview "Rode our luck as i think you need to. Whatever luck we didn't have last year it feels like we are using this year. I feel like I've banked it and I keep making a withdrawal every week   "

the juggernaught won & rolls into Millmoor town on Saturday

perhaps we should  change the title of the thread to will Wigan implode ???? :suicide: :suicide: :suicide: :suicide:  there again perhaps not

Their last 10 league games = 8 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat. That defeat came on 15 January.

They could have lost to Plymouth but Should have lost to Shrewsbury who outplayed them in the second half but could only hit the post

Lets see if they get naught points on Saturday when the Juggernaught rolls into town

Despite the juggernaught getting an early puncture (player sent off for the pen after 26 minutes) and having only 3 wheels it won easily in the end.

Thankfully from a Rotherham point of view the juggernaught has to play Wigan

..............................................................................

..............if Smudge or Ladapo got injured they would be right in trouble

........................................................................................

Note the above comment in the original post of this thread which "at his moment in time"  appears is trying to compete with the long running never ending "Wimbledon decaying" thread

......... your truly mentioned the possibility of injuries to the above two forwards

Guess what On Saturday night their manager said Ladapo was out for two weeks got suubed on Saturday.

in "Johnsonesque" language this might mean he is back Saturday week ( if Warne is trying to mislead us ) ----  but he will miss the "up and under" match against their mirror image team Wycombe, Grigg is still on crutches.

The Juggernaught play Cheltenham Tuesday   before hosting the future Champions Wigan on Saturday

Ask me to predict the results of the two Saturday top of the table clashes and I haven't a clue.   :aok:  play the same games a couple of days later and the results would probably be different .

Funny how Wycombe always seem to recover their position in the table after they have taken a hammering and we have written them off yet again.

So the Juggernaught steams on (or should i say MARCHes on) and overcame the Cheltenham Hurdles

if it beats Wigan on Saturday and Wycombe beat Rotherham   then there really would be trouble at mill for Wigan as well as Rotherham

No idea what  sort of team Wigan put out apart from player the bloke sent off on Saturday

and to think we have done the double over the Juggernaught    :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
