A great bit of news but it needs to be followed up with a few quality signings.

Wow! Couldn’t be happier at that piece of news.

Last season Tommy played like a 28 year old!

Class will out. But with that he brings nouse, leadership, endeavour & pride in his profession.

Brilliant news but thought he was already signed on
Let’s see the usual suspects find fault with this then

Think he’ll get the armband now especially with the uncertainty over Anderson’s fitness

Wonder if he has been told that we will be strengthening the squad with some new quality signings thus making his mind up to stay?

On his day could be the best player in the league next season , he was far too good for it last time we were in league 2 , albeit a bit younger but still had the same brain and legs for it

Brilliant news and commitment from Tommy

Bit of Deja vu also - he was one of Ferguson's first signings in 2016-17 after the short loan at the end of 2015-16. I never thought we would get him them and he was a bit of a talisman IMHO.

As said above maybe a sign of good signings to come  :scarf: :scarf:

He was under contract, so the ball was in our court. But we felt the right thing to do was to reward him and make him feel wanted and a big part of this club.

So that explains the new terms, I read that as improved terms. Great news either way.

Brilliant news!

Please let’s get a left back in though, I’m convinced he can get 5–10 goals in L2 playing further forward.

Great news and nice that a player who had promised supporters that he was staying has proved true to his word.
If only more players and managers were a bit more like him.
That has made my day. :scarf: :scarf: :woohoo:

Great news. I never thought he would jump ship. Obviously he loves the club and is committed to be part of the rebuilding process.

Pound for pound he could turn out to be the best signing of the summer.

Great to see a player like Tommy Rowe re-sign on new terms, in effect saying to all "i'm prepared to see out my best days at Rovers" I think this type of loyalty goes a long way to showing some of the younger players the way to conduct themselves.

Has been and continues to a be a fine player for us, lets not mess this up by asking him to multi task every week, play him to his strengths and we will benefit handsomely.

Is this a sign the owner want to make with regards to this coming seasons ambitions?

I don’t know why but I have a sneaky feeling we’re going to try and get Josh Martin back.

I think that would be a statement like this Rowe news.

Great news, can easily go on to be ours & best player in league 2 next season. Just hope it says in his contract 'though shalt not play left back'. Rock on Tommy.

If he's got an improved deal then he deserves it.

He was our best player last year by a country mile. I wouldn't have begrudged him looking elsewhere in January and was impressed that he stuck with us.

I was particularly impressed with his resilience, particularly given the propensity for others to be regularly out injured. He could have ducked out of a few games I'm sure.

If he plays a full season then that's ten goals in the bag already!

BOOM ..... what great news.

A year older a year wiser .

He will pull the strings now and hopefully inspire the players around him.

Always good to have him in the Team.

My sentiments as well - great player, gives his all, and an intelligent and decent person. Really chuffed with the news, definitely a legend in the making.

Happy with that. Got a head on his shoulders. Off the pitch and on the pitch - he's a clever footballer, can play in multiple positions, and we know he can score goals. Not too fond of him at fullback, sign some proper fullbacks and we're looking better.
