Sounds like a good debut goal and seems to get using his attributes to good effect.

Good to hear Agard and Seaman getting some game time.

Tomlin a no from me. Not the type of player we should be looking at his age, past his best and no sell on value.

What? At 33, and in League 2?

I take it you've not rated Copps for the last 7 years then?

When did I say anything about not rating Copps hahahha. Copps was a once in a life time type player. We already have Rowe and Clayton (who I both rate) aged 33 & 34 in midfield. Don’t think another player that age is what we need at all. Plus he’s played 5 league games in 3 years (for Walsall) in the last 3 years if his wiki is right.

Happy to be proved wrong but come on.

FT 2-0. Rovers finished with a team so young, that Lewis Jones ended up with the captain's armband.

A good workout, but again, the opponents should have had at least 2 goals.

Thought he was a posh season before last when they got promoted. Will look it up.

Has anyone a clue what's happening with Biggins and Molyneux?

Only at Walsall since Feb 22.  What are you looking at on wiki?
Was at Cardiff before and had 19 games with Posh on loan in 2019/20

2010-2014 134 games with Posh and 30 something goals.  Been at a few different clubs 2015 to 2018

Not up to speed SS or they would have had some mins surely.

They both played regularly last season, and have had 2 weeks pre-season same as the the others.

I just don't get it.

I yr contract maybe. Would he do a job at this level for us?
Has been a very creative player with a few goals in him.
Yes he will be past his peak but ability is permanent. If he is fit and has the right attitude, wants another promotion on his CV then why not?

Would he do a job for us at this level? Is that a serious question? A fully fit tomlin would be a great asset with his experience around the team.

Dammed if you do, dammed if you don’t when it comes to the players we get, either not experienced enough or over the hill…. I for one would welcome some wise heads with promotion experience around our young team!

All good players but a midfield of Clayton (34 in January), Rowe (34 in September) and Tomlin (34 in January) would be a concern. Especially when other than Biggins, we only have Close and he is both injured and not someone who gets through 30-40 league games a season.

Some would have you believe triallists are a waste of time.

Ideal for players like Tomlin who could still offer quite a bit.

We have to trust GM and Copps judgement on all of them. We have to be fair with them though, as time marches on to the start of the season when they want to be fixed up somewhere.

How did the left back trialist get on?
Must be due a decision one way or the other now.

No Biggins and Molyneux again. What the hell's happening there?

Next game is only Wednesday. Should have 1 more signing in by then I feel as well.

It’s about managing minutes for players such as Taylor as well after so long out.

Tomlin is a no for me, managed 5 games for Walsall last season. He has always had talent but fitness has always let him down and with the lack of consistent games and getting older that isn't going to improve now.

Re-read it, DBR, and it does say they were warming up. Obviously not ready, so I’d assume probably Wednesday for those 2.

Taylor missing is a worry, with his recent injury nightmare. Let’s hope they’re being cautious.

Close & Barlow some way to go? Barlow I can understand, Close less so.

Thanks for pointing me back there, I must have skim read it and missed the relevant info.

Last season we were so unfit or that’s the excuse. So how can Molyneux and Biggins be behind our lot! Let alone Tomlin.

I trust they will be ready and it’s just sports science doing it’s thing but with our record last season anything like this Is a concern

Just a reminder COVID infection rates are climbing again so a player suddenly not available is not necessarily an injury. Not saying that is the case today, but I certainly hope we are being careful.  :scarf:

Who has said they are? Pre-season is about getting everyone up to speed, it’s quite possible they are being held back for the stiffer test of Huddersfield

We’ll obviously I’m surmising. Not picking players for preseason because they are too fit is a new one but hope what your guessing is right

Didn’t Barlow roll an ankle a few days ago in training.
