Is an actual cheat code in league two. Technically outstanding.

Half the fanbase wanted us to terminate his contract 45mins into game 1.

He was outstanding tonight, first full 90 I've seen this season. Everyone looked decent.

Great to see Anderson back

& yet Walsall fans laughed to me at us signing him & I've seen other comments online asking why anyone signs him. Credit Gary & whoever else decided to take the risk.

Yeah fair play when he's on it he's obviously way too good for this division. GM just needs to make sure he's on the pitch in the right head space and we've a special player for the division.

Walsall got the version of Tomlin that made the signing a risk. If we could guarantee tonights version he'd never be in L2.

Played like he had a point to prove. Lets hope he stays that hungry because he was unplayable tonight.

Anyone that was at Wimbledon would also agree that tonight was just a continuation from his performance on Saturday. Let’s hope it continues.

He's a unique talent. The vision and execution of some of those forward passes he made today was on a different level to anything I've ever seen from anyone in a Rovers shirt.

Will do wonders for our attacking players when they know Tomlin can find them. They should be making direct runs all game.

Makes a difference from last season with no one playing the pass and no one making the run. Now it's all on the runners to do their job Tomlin and Clayton also will find them if they run

Unbelievable player at this level. How he didn’t get MOTM is a disgrace.

90+2 and 90+4 against Sutton.
87 and 90+4 against AFC Wimbledon.
90+1 against Stockport County.

And it was his lung busting run from our half to set up Agard’s winner.

I would guess that copps will have spoke to Tomlin after that first match vs Bradford. To make sure he is in the right head space which he has proved in the last 2 games long may it continue

I dunno he was having another pop at one point until Clayton told him to do one.  That's just who he is.  Bit of an enigma but bloody talented footballer.

Not only did he play the full 90 minutes but he kept running, was chasing down their keeper and full back in the final 10 minutes. Add that to him bossing the play, nearly scoring twice and generally just dictating our attacking output, he was outstanding. Him and Clayton can be a big difference making duo for us in this league.

All is forgiven Lee, great performance, a joy to watch. That shot hat pinged the bar was incredible. Clayton keeping his eye on him, when Knoyle was booked late on for nothing Tomlin had a nibble at the ref and Clayton was straight on him pushing him away and keeping him focused. Great night, amazing feeling to boss a game again. It feels like a long time!

A class apart. Played some lovely balls over the top, and some nice reverse passes. Very unlucky not to score too, both his shots hitting the inside of the framework.

If we can keep Tomlin and Clayton fit we should fear no one in this division. They have to be the best midfield pairing in League 2. Class the pair of them.

He's an absolute gem of a player. Having a player of that quality in league 2 should be considered cheating!

Tomlin was brilliant from start to finish tonight.
He will win us plenty of points this season and could be the man to steer us to promotion.
The people who blew a fuse after the Bradford game and suggested sacking him look pretty foolish after tonight.

He has an inate ability to find pockets of space that no one else can find that allows him to control the game, he spots runs from our forwards that others cant see. He was several classes above any other player on the pitch tonight and long may it continue. Hes got afair strike on him too!!

I guess tonight's game shows exactly why GM was so keen to sign him. He can just make the difference and he almost won it on his own with two great efforts which were unlucky to come off the woodwork.

He kept persevering and finally his class paid off with a perfect pass to Agard who thankfully made up for his glaring miss.

Over the coming games let's hope the players around him can capitalise a little more on the openings he creates.

Tomlin was class, Clayton was quality too and deserves a lot of credit for tonight. The passes both were spraying around.. The vision was on point! Loved it. With these two as our midfield spine we've got a lot to be hopeful about this season.

The difference is he’s getting fitter - bit by bit. What with Clayton, Anderson and even Agard, there is a fair amount of intelligence in there. They may not have the legs anymore but the desire, brains and know-how are irreplaceable.

I criticised him strongly after the Bradford sending off and I stand by that. It was idiotic.

But tonight...my God he was a joy to watch. Simply superb. One of the best individual performances I've seen from a Rovers player in a very long time.
