Well, the referee second half has been shocking. Just dreamt up a penalty. Ridiculous.

Sadly, the referee thought otherwise.  :headbang:

Today's attendance at the Eco-Power Stadium is 8,978.

With 2,826 making the trip from Mansfield.

The glory fans will be not be back and go back to moaning if we lose this

The ref has ruined this. Tomlin was brought down right in front of us. They know he's weak as piss right then and have exploited it.

Being found out here

“Found out” how? It’s football. Their keeper makes a world class save. We hit the post. The ref dreams up a penalty for them and now Mansfield are being absolutely pathetic.

Mansfield have played well, no doubt… Two very good goals.

It’s fine margins.

When Tomlin starts cheating it sets up the ref to look at Rovers and sees what is probably not there. Would he have given that one if it hadn't been for Tomlin a couple of minutes before? Maybe not. Then ,of course, Mansfield can play that sort of game and get away with it, disrupting the game's flow and makes it more difficult for Rovers to come back.

How is their number 32 still on the pitch? Should have been booked about 5 times this match.

Ref has bottled a red card there. Utterly atrocious. Knew he'd booked him and didn't want to hand another out.

If this score line stands, expect the usual meltdown from certain quarters.

I don't understand how the owners can allow this level of refereeing!

The game has been lost in midfield, not enough presence on the ball, passing not good enough under pressure. Plenty to look at with another tight game coming up on Tuesday.

Well, we lost. To be fair, Mansfield played very well, but another day we get more from that. Credit to them. The first goal, you can’t legislate for those… great strike.

Rovers were much the better team for the first 30-35 minutes, then Mansfield had a period on top. Stunning save to deny Miller. Tomlin took the penalty well.

Second half was scrappy. Hurst unlucky with a great effort off the post. Mansfield got a decent second goal which really should have been prevented. And then Mansfield just resorted to disrupting the game. I can’t really complain too much because we’ve done some great “game management” ourselves, but some of the Mansfield antics were really pathetic.

The referee then decided it was all about him. Made some shocking decision and non-decisions, and killed the game with one of the worst penalty decisions I think I’ve ever seen. If that’s a penalty then we may as well all give football up as a lost cause.

There was an incident just after Tomlin was booked where McLaughlin goes down, simulating injury, insinuating Rowe had struck him. Right in front of the lino. Embarrassing. Should have been a booking.

He also bottled sending Lapslie off. Serial offender and a clear second yellow after he clattered Maxwell.

I’m not really upset that we lost tbh. It’s the inconsistency of officiating, and the naïveté that gets me.

This Rovers side are transformed from last season. The run had to end somewhere but we will bounce back from it.

It just stings a bit when you get officiating that get so many basics wrong, and are completely inconsistent.

Next!
