He's great at the last ditch stuff and putting his body on the line, and is certainly miles ahead of most of the other academy players we've had come through to the first team in recent years. Can't help but think he got bullied last night by their no.9 though, and like Gaz says would probably benefit from getting some experience under his belt at a lower level. Not knocking the lad at all but it'd be good to see him develop without the pressure of necessarily starting for us every week. From what I've seen, Adam Long is a more than capable player. Not really sure on why GM seems so reluctant to use him.
Pace seems to be an issue for him on last nights showing, needs to learn to stand off a little to give himself more time against pacey forwards
A few on here would not make scouts, the clubs that are already sniffing around are higher, much higher than Championship teams. The best one though was Filo saying a 12 second hundred metres runner is slow, and has also won races up to 800 metres, had to laugh at that. For a lad who hadn't even played at academy level two years ago this November he is flying. He is miles ahead of the plan for this season it being hopefully a couple of cup games midweek, and a good loan out in national North games for regular football. Now he has the shirt he is playing to keep it.
Our whole model should work on Bobby Faulkner going for £2m. To date we’ve monetised few and far between our saleable assets. You would hope he became the first of a more regular production line of saleable talent.

We won’t be getting 2mil for a centre half while we are a mid table league 2 team, we got 1.5mil for the proven best midfielder in league 1 and now probably one of the top midfielders in the championshipNot saying Bobby wont be a gem, but a lot has got to change in terms of our league position and for himself before we can start touting that sort of asking price

He really needs to work on his distribution. The general consensus (true as well) is that Williams is poor on the ball. His pass completion this season is 82%. Bobby’s is 68%. That’s in a league where you have all the time in the world on the ball.
