Ahhh yes of course, the club have given full transparency which is great to see. His toe is that painful that he's gone on a golfing weekend to Scotland when he's got time off as he is and I quote "allowed some time off to spend with a new baby"... All makes sense now.
bit of a difference though watching golf and kicking a ball

Bit of a difference having time off to spend with your newborn and going to watch golf instead
really nothing much I could do while they were in hospital but will pass it on to my mrs on your behalf lol,and on on the Tomlin one how do you know they didn’t go with him to Scotland for a few days, doesn’t actually say when they had their child

It’s a broken toe issue and he could be out up to 3 months!

He’ll not be scoring on Tuesday, as he’ll not be in the side/squad again.

Does that answer all the conspiracies?

I wonder how many moaning on here would attend their place of work when they are on sick to cheer their workmates on?

Is that confirmed? Article says "sore toe"

I'm not sure whether there's a conspiracy here or not, but it's pretty weird. An injured / rested player is well entitled to a break, and doesn't need to drag across the country to watch the team unnecessarily, but equally it seems a bit short-sighted to be advertising the fact you're not there on social media - surely he/they saw this coming?

Brings to mind Sean Thornton's much maligned trip to the cinema when not in the matchday squad!

What does this have to do with the VSC?

Think this topic is done with now. Yes he probably shouldn't of posted on social media the morning of the game that he was in Scotland at the golf prior to the lineups being revealed. This is naturally going to cause some questions to be asked.

but it has now been made clear that he is injured and that it was planned and injured players are not required to be at away games so he has not done anything wrong.

I just want to see Lee tomlin enjoying his football which he clearly states he has not for a long time and hope that a spell on the sidelines and lots of golf doesn't turn his attention away from football. A fired up lee tomlin loving being on the pitch is a massive asset for the rovers.

Only one thing that I would expect of an injured player, is rest rest rest and is playing golf rest?

To quote William Wordsworth - "Golf is a day spent in a round of strenuous idleness".

That's ridiculous.  An injury at elite level is not like a slight pull, it may feel fine most of the time. People have to live lives.

If he's got the day off he can do what he likes as long as it doesn't harm his fitness.

It is good to see that since Copps was appointed there has been a change in culture at the club as witnessed by the way that players are treated by the men in charge .I approve wholeheartedly and welcome the explanation given by Steve of the Tomlin story .

The forum is Viking Chat, the forum is not the VSC.

So comments on the forum can’t be ‘typical VSC’ especially when the comments are made by non-VSC people.

I'd watch that show. Tomlin travels the world and each place he visits he has a huge impact making a difference to all those around him, before each episode ends with him remonstrating excessively and needlessly about some minor point and then being asked to leave.

Good grief.

Can’t get my breath.
Are there one or two people with nothing else to do but go out of their way to find anything they can to criticise the club.

This really is quite pathetic. There is someone on this thread that needs to get a life I think.

I'm more than OK. It's you who seems to be having issues.

Do you see the irony here? You're saying that comments made on here are typical VSC. Yet you're posting on here too, which must make your comments typical VSC as well.

For clarity, the VSC is a Supporters Trust, is registered as a trust and is regulated by the FCA. Viking Chat is a forum which is hosted on the VSC website.

You OK now?
