The urinals round the back left a lot to be desired .
The night of the Darlo 0 1 game was a case in point SSWas it 22k plus attendance . Was it Harry Kirk Darlos left winger ?What a night apart from the 0 1 result with what some say was a cross but I still say brill shot into Town End net ... GutttedDead on John it was a great goal.I remember the 6-3 in early 64 ? when Ray Yeoman would sign autographs on Doncaster paper.
I seem to remember that in my early days (late 40s, early 50s) you had to pay extra to transfer from the Rossington End to the Popular Stand. After all, it had a roof! There was a gate just out of picture right at the top of the wall - and of course the wall prevented "free" movement into there.
There was never a wall or fence the last time I attended a game at BV, but Rovers were still my team
Certainly was. I began going 1963 there .
