DRFC VSC Forum Fans Player Of The Season

OK - we know it's been shite. And we know most would say none of them. But who would be your player of the season and why?

Please answer positively.

He hasn't played many games for one reason or another but the willingness to tackle and head the ball it's Faulkner for me

Kyle Hurst for me, shown the potential to be a matchwinner for us, scored an amazing solo goal, and is the one player who has a spark or who can give us a moment of flair or skill. Played as part of a proper front three he'd develop to be absolutely devastating I think.

Tomlin. Even at his age, he was light years ahead of the others in terms of ability.

How many games has Olowu played ?
I always think we've got a chance when he plays, none without. He wins his personal battles, everyone else struggles.

Hurst and Maxwell. Either or for me. Both need to get in the gym in the summer and bulk up a bit but, both have shown potential.

Hurst for me. For a rookie season in a poor team he's shone.

Tomlin.

Typical that we didn’t replace his quality!

Olowu, strong and tenacious, looks like he really gives a sh*t about wearing the shirt. Love it when he plays.

Knoyle or Tomlin. Maxwell has done well when played.

I say George Miller has had a promising first year and if given some support and better delivery he will prosper next year.... only 24 years old and learning his trade.

Probably Maxwell, he was just starting to be consistently good when injury struck. I believe we would have had more points (not many more granted) by now if Maxwell has stayed fit.

Tomlin or Hurst for me. If there a vote for an actual award I’d go Tomlin because it’s the right message I think. No one here deserves an award imo.

Biggins has scored a few good goals too so a mention for that. Miller was decent before DS then nothing from most of them.

Tomlin for me too.
We have missed his ability to open up defences and never replaced him.

This is like being asked what is your favourite tropical disease.

Lee Tomlin - he was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch in terms of ability.

I enjoyed watching him play.

I've endured watching the rest of the squad play - especially this calendar year.

Given how Tomlins first game went, and how early in the season he retired….to get so many picks is extremely damning of the rest of them.
